as said above it isnt a real trust intercooler.

Also u cannot bolt this up, u need to get intercooler piping made for it, u need to make mounts for the intecooler, u mostlikely need to cut up the front bumper.

So add another 600 for the install and thats what it will cost u.

Just out of curiosity, how do you guys know it is not a genuine Trust cooler?

I RECOMMEND ASKING THE SELLER FOR THE TRUST PART NUMBER - HE SHOULDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM GIVING YOU THIS. YOU CAN THEN CROSS REFERENCE PART NUMBER TO SEE FIRSTLY IF IT IS GENUINE AND SECONDLY IF IT IS SUITABLE FOR YOU- THIS IS THE SAFEST WAY. IT'S TOO LATE AFTER YOU'VE BOUGHT IT, DOESN'T MATTER HOW CHEAP, IF YOU CAN'T USE IT, IT'S EXPENSIVE.

THERE ARE SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR INTERCOOLERS, ADD STATES THIS ONE FOR DRAG OR DRIFT !

CHEERS

JADE

that ad just screams dodgy

look in the for sale section. R32-GTS is selling a hybrid copy, or what ever u want to call them.. 600x300x100 core now for $550!

Once i get more cash together i'll more than likely purchase one similar as i know i can get them for $600 any time i want.

i hate ebay for the fact there are ppl like this who scheme and make up hopeless ads.

How a proper GReddy intercooler should look like (although like Driver said - GRex/GReddy/Trust are all the same company):

http://trust-power.com/02greddy/intercooler_kit.html

How a Hybrid intercooler looks like:

http://www.xracing.com.au/htm/xintercooler.htm

Then look at the Ebay ad.

I saw that ad earlier this week..got excited..then suspicious..

Look at the end tanks, and the holes on the top.

It looks to me as if it's a Hybrid copy, with 'Trust' stamped on it.

meh.. i bought a brand new hybrid copy cooler for $400.. looks really good quality for the price. I can't really see the difference of quality between it and my old HKS cooler worth about $800 to be honest. Time will tell i guess.

Always be suspicious of ebay and "brand" items. If you want cheap stuff, and not too fussed, then go ebay.. otherwise stay clear.

THE SHEER SIZE ...WILL ASTONISH YOU

:( .. thats what i say to all the girls too..doesn't usually work :)

thanks for the help ppl guess i wont buy it then and just get the one myfriends..brother $1k installed

its one of those universal coolers.....its imported from taiwan.....

are these any good ?

its size is 800x300x76.....also does size matter when u get a cooler like the bigger the better ? or will a 600x300x76 cooler do the same job ?

its been fitted on a r32 and so far no problems

Do a search. A lot of people have used the Hybrids with no problems, same with the Trust.

In the end it comes down to personal choice. Someone might swear by Japanese parts, others will say parts from other localities are just as good if not better.

If you're looking to save some money, then a Hybrid might be the way to go.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
