I wouldn't get too agro on the day, we don't want low life scum for sure, but we do want more members and ppl who think skylines r kewl. Who knows, we may get someone selling their commonwhore or falcoon and joining the import fraternity.

'More bees to honey than vinegar'.

But weeding out the scum, how do we do it??? its a hard one, maybe a Breaker Morant 'rule .303' is the G-O.

I think it would be fairly easy?

Since nearly everyone coming would be in a skyline themselves then they would only have friends with them and I'd imagine they were trustworthy.

I'm paranoid though. Always get worried when I see people checking out my 34.

Back to the photo shoot:here's a heads-up for anyone wanting to take photos this weekend that aren't as knowledgable as gtir_94(not a p##s-take-his photos came out pretty good,I reckon):go and get the current issue of SPEED magazine. In the middle there's a section all about do's and don'ts of photo taking when it comes to cars...penned by some of the good mag' phtographers themselves.Might help us out a bit,I guess.

And as for lowlife thieving scumbags, maybe as a friendly gesture, when we're standing next to someone we don't know by face looking at various cars, introduce yourself!I pretty sure we all have a grasp on SAU nicknames/names/"handles".Not only will we be able to say "G'day" personally to people we only know in cyber-Skyline-space,but it might just spook off these idiots if we meet 'em face to face..."I'm LTS Jayce;and you are...?"

haha i remember, at the pizza night at APK iu turned up early, and andrew (GTS_DUY) and me where out the front for about 30 seconds waiting before we realised and introduced ourselves. it was pretty funny!!

There ya go gtir_94, the film crew can now film your car being towed hahahaha

Been there man, had ABC TV do some filming of me getting defected as part of the police/rtas 'Summer Blitz' of 2003.

Wasn't impressed, particularly when the inspector told me I was 93dB, but once I got to work and looked at the defect notice he put I was 110dB.

With gangs and stuff as suggested, thats the reason I think a few guys, including myself now, keep what they got under the bonnet close to their hearts, and not become show-ponies the moment someone takes a little interest.

Doing it later in the afternoon will save me a world of trouble with the g/f... am scheduled in to spend time with her parents/grandparents in Syd that morning - she doesn't like the idea of me ditching that for a car photo shoot!

My vote is for any time after say 3pm.

I say we meet up at 1PM, go for cruise to the cotter have the BBQ and then investigate the photos (would be almost 3pm by then). Also the showers are meant to be clearing sunday morning, so fingers crossed.

Sorry guys, as much as i want the sun, and to not think of the rain, i just heard on the radio that saturday will be like 17 with a bit of sun. Then showers developing in the afternoon. for sunday they will continue, and also a chance of snow! :S

So it aint sound good, But ALL fingers crossed for that sweet sun to break throu

Ummm...should we still stick to the 12 o'clock meeting point(the Flags)as we've all been on about for the last 3 weeks?Only that we may trip up a few people if we change it to 1.Then we can Barby/eat/tell stories before doing misd arvo' photos?

yeah pm me for my number.

i already have tridents and i'll call him asap, sunday morning.

worst comes to worst and it pisses down we can always go for a cruise somewhere and have lunch.

would be a shame to waste the day after so much effort and planning.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
