Pauls GTS is onthe hoist now getting a new clutch and gearbox overhaul and suspension upgrade then its of to the plex on street ETs driven by Ant and my self so i guess the shit will stop then about this very basic RB25.

Have I read this right, Paul is not going to drive it? :headspin:

I hope he at least gives it a nudge himslef... whilst others may be able to ultimately pedal his car quicker, the fun is in driving them, not spending money on them and watching others bash around in your car :)

I wish we could find out who you are to see if you really are anyone.I think not.

I love the internet, no-one really has a clue who anyone else is :)

As if ur car is gonna be ready in 3 weeks, u r dreaming :)

Are you gonna be driving to WA by yourself? coz its one damn boring drive from Melbourne

do you know something about my car that i dont?

your such a keyboard warrior at times.

might be going over myself, not sure just yet. Wont take me that long to drive anyhow.

Will be good to have someone to make me coffee in the morning.

:) as long as the coffee is good over there

I sure as hell will be:D But seeing as Steve and Ant have spent alot of time working on my car then there also having a go with it down the drags:D Will be interesting to see the difference in results from 3 drivers on the same setup:D

I'm curious to see really how that GT30 turbs pulls down the 1/4.

I've been told by a few ppls here in sa the GT30 is too small for over 400rwhp.

You have the GT30 600hp? .82 exhaust a/r?

Ben's R34 GTT with a GCG supplied GT3040, ET 11.9 with a 1.9 for 60' and 120 mhp at Heathcote on Nittos.

How can you claim a time from a car that the owner can't do?? yeah maybe with my 128mph a more capable driver may have ran a lower 11 even maybe a high 10 but how could of I claimed that time when its really only an 11.7 car in my hands??

We often run GTR injectors to 450+rwhp with plug in Wolfs.

sorry to bring this topic up again but these figures ur getting with injectors....standard rb25 and gtr....i was talking to a particular tuner in sydney...he said once injectors are at 100% duty they are fully open and hence no matter what after market computer u got...thats governs the fuel squirted in...the only way i can see the injectors producing so much power is increasing the fuel pressure reg....that still has its limits and i quoted him the figures as stated and he said thats utter crap.....and even if u do manage to squeeze all the flow out of these injectors...how bout on cruising...the injectors would flood the motor wouldnt it??? is that a good thing?

I can get a RB26 rail for free so that is why it is an option, I have some 550cc injectors going in, I got them real cheap and the custom fuel rail is about $150-180. It's made from extruded aluminum, and they simply drill holes for the injectors, cap the ends and add inlets for the fuel

this was back in jan 2003

ur figure of 411 rwhp was produced in oct 2003 was there a bit of conusion with the injectors thought to be used ?

Ok we are just lieing and when wetake it to the track we will post the fake time slip just like when(changed now) ND4SPD made 480rwkw and ran a hi 10 at 140mph on 550cc injectors and cruised with better ecomomy than a stock GTR.If your East coast shops cant match what we are doing our shop is open for them to come over and see what we are doing or they can just keep discrediting us as a copout for their results on your cars.

Send them over!

Haha, so the time GTR700 pulls isn't legit cause the owner didn't drive it?

Back in 2003 when I did 411rwhp on a DD Shootout 03 dyno, and the 436rwhp on the APA dyno at PAS WesternSalon we were running stock GTS-t injectors, with no issue at cruise, in fact running 14:1 at cruise:D

We have upgraded the fuel rail and injectors to stock GTR parts, and so far have achieved 450rwhp from a DD Shootout 04 dyno. There is still plenty of injector duty left in these. We just fitted an 044 pump, replacing the Bosch 911 pump, and at 450rwhp we had to trim the fuel back over 20%.

I was planning on using the 550cc 13B injectors, but seeing as there are a peak and hold style injector we thought the GTR injectors would work better.

Hope that clears any confusion:D

As everyone seems overly sensitive, im genuinely interested as im running GTR injectors...not trying to poke holes in your results, so...

What is the std rail pressure for an RB26, your RB25, and if you know an RB20? Im running std fuel regulator and like to keep it that way, but am running an 040 fule pump.

Some fun figures:

ND injectors 16600-54C02, stock GT-R + GTi-R

Flow rate / rail pressure / injector time

440cc / 2.55 bar

485cc / 3.05 bar

525cc / 3.55 bar

Can estimate they flow 562cc @ 4.05 bar fuel pressure, although this was not valided in tests.

So, assuming 3.55 bar fuel pressure, 95% peak duty, would flow 498cc per injector. With a BSFC of 0.6 (a bit rich) then the injectors would flow enough for approximately 490 horsepower/ 365kw at the flywheel.

Hypothetically if it was bumped up to 4.05 bar fuel pressure it could flow enough fuel for around 525 flywheel horsepower with 0.6BSFC, leaning it out could get you 630 flywheel horsepower.

This is assuming the fuel pump is up to the task and can flow enough lbs/min at the absolute rail pressure (base pressure + turbo boost).

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
