............Bollox. Really don't wanna argue but logic says that someone who is interested in drag racing but can only afford a $5000 IS going to get chopped by someone who is interested in drag racing who pours $100 g's into a car. All other factors being equal.  Nothing means 0 and it is not 0.

Haha, yeah i dont want to get into an argument either mate. And i have to agree to disagree, u are quite correct though im merely outlining the fact that there are different ways to go about things and spending a heap of cash is not one of them. Tell me the cheapest way to get an NA 33 into the 12 second bracket, and ill tell u i did it with less than 6g's Read my thread "Time for NA power..." although most people said it couldnt be done i did and it now has been, if i invested more time into the project with relatively few more mods this car would run into the low 12's possibly high elevens though circumstances lead to me loosing interest in the project and the beast is now for sale. The new project is already a dead paper weight in the garage, 33 vspec, with blown turbos and alot of legal concerns need to be sorted regarding my warranty on the vehicle and repairs before any development can go ahead but this car will run 10's or relatively close with about the same amount of money o have spent on my previous project. Stay tuned.

you guys should try your luck with one of my mates who runs a EVO 4WD drivetrain setup in his FTO with the VR4 engine :D custom built for track racing and pimping tho, not for drags.

The FTO's are 1190kg's make 150kw & 200nm of torque.

and approx (don't quote) mid 7's to 100km/h and lowish to mid 15 sec 1/4's.

Actually GR FTO's are 125kw and mivec GPX are 145kw.

Interesting Fact : Did you know Mitsubishi made a 4 cyl FTO but i dont think anyone bought it.

if it was ' a bee's dick' then i wouldn't call it chopped.

Quoting Vin diesal in Fast n Furious " It doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning"

and as much as i hate the FTO, i do admit it is fast compared to other NA cars and have heard some stories of a done up FTO choppin a few type Rs n shyt...at the end of the day, and FTO is n FTO and its a box....

isn't the mitsy eclipse a FWD as well?

It is - at least the only one in Australia is. -Owned by a US Pilot that come over here to fly for Ansett after the pilots strike. Bob Hawke himself approved the importation of the car and subsequent use on Aust. roads WITHOUT CURRENT REGO! -Just some special paperwork. Met the owner at an Ansett BBQ who told me all about it many years ago.

AWD is available in the US and kicks most nissan and other  butt.

Hey, I own a Starion as well. :D

Man i don't know why all your N/a are so slow.

ive got a 1994 GTS25 5 speed, all that i have done to it is K&N filter, when i got it, it had a exhaust and thats all that i know of. no extractors. its got 4ws and a LSD.

and i am yet to loose a race to a V6 commodore or falcon.

ive raced 3 r32 GTS-t got to about 120km/h and i was 1 1/2 car lenghts in front of them.

raced a 5L VN Calais with extractors and exhaust and left him about 1 car lenght behind me as soon as i got out of second.

ive raced a BA XR6 N/A same as above.

on a cold day me car does 0-100km/h in anywhere form 6.5- 6.9 seconds. thats if i change gears on time.

Meh, The R33 GTS's are nice cars, if you got chopped by a GTO, goodluck to the GTO, you might chop his ass next time on a better day, Theres no reason you couldnt.

Couple of minor mods should do the trick.

i have a bit of fun beating commodores and falcons and whatever else off the line and then just sit on the speed limit, they get pretty damn cut and then take off (and sometimes loose it on the straight, lol).

:bs!:

You definately need a little more skill to drive these turbo skylines compared to say a pftt.. V8 Commodore.. hahaha

Brainless just put your foot down those commo's/fords.. heheh :P

A Skyline is a drivers car.. :)

A Commodore/ford is a cruiser car. :)

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
