omg thats horn!!!

man i almost feel like getting one now...

those rims are definately 18s.... way too big to be 17s... look at the rubber bands on em... or is it the car makes em look big

man that thing will haul ass once u get some pods on it and tune it for our shitty fuel :D

hmmmmmm mybe i should sell the ceffy :)

WOW...

Got some pods put on today (shitty ones because all the good ones are to big to fit in the limited space) anyway I took it for a REAL drive today (around my backstreets) and OMG does this thing farking scream and kick when it's wound up on boost. Have not stoped smiling all day... can't wait to get it on the dyno for a tune and atwkw reading, then down to Calder :D

dude, don't wind up the boost on the car until you've had a good tune. the car ran on high octane fuel all its life and is NOT used ot the poverty octane rating optimaxes at the pumps here.

Craig rang me n said he was gonna go over to check out the car and you were happy as, I asked him to let me know so I could cruise along too. Good to see you're happy with it. Now come to the meet at the whitehorse on tuesday and join the club beyotch!

PS how'd you jump the car at TOLL didn't you have a jumper pack with you?

Craig still has not come to check the car out yet... come round with him and check it out. Tell him to give me a call when he is ready because I want to get it complied ASAP. I only wound it up a bit... heheheh

I know I should wait for the tune but I was just looking at it all day sitting there. Sounds and feels like it is running solid (now I have the filters on). The clutch is VERY grindy but catches so shap and strong, that is what I need to get used to and the reason I stalled a gizilion times yesterday. My sister drove me down to Laverton and folowed me home...so she gave me the jump start (after running down to the shell and paying $35.00 for jumper leads) When turning onto the Westgate she made it through and I stalled (causing the block) I rang her on my mob and asked her to turn around and save me.

Tuesday @ Whithourse (no GTR) I will probably catch the farkin tram. Membership sign up OK that night?

apparently you're near Craig's office so if you want I can ask one of the boys to give you a lift in, or I can give you a lift if I'm there on the day.

As for membership signup, yeah we'll have forms on tuesday.

Will try to come over when Craig does.

The only thing I will be riding is my woman or my GTR... sorry to disapoint about any other type of ride...

If you boys who live close by want to go on a short squirt SAT or SUN I will be down for that.

It's not going to be that bad this weekrnd.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
