Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a nice system for a 32. mine will be here in november and I have covered all the other stuff up till now. I'm not much of a sound person so here's what I would like if someone could suggest something for me.

I have bought the Pioneer Deck (all I have bought at the moment) DEH-P4650MP

here is the link for the deck

http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car%5Fenterta...ers/dehp4650mp/

I listen to a variety of music. Initial d(i know i know), RNB, Rock, Pop, Celtic, dance

but I'm not overly fond of bass. so I don't want a sub.

I would like splits for the front, not sure if you can fit 6x9's in the rear of a 32? and probably a small amp to give it the power to pump them up a bit, deck wouldn't have enough

thanks heaps guys

mark

I've already got the deck so around 1100 or so.

I am not a huge stereo person, would prefer more quality then quantity

so splits for the front and either 6x9's or 6.5" in the back. probably more expensive in the front splits in the front and cheaper in the rear

cheers

mark :)

Buy the best quality amps and speakers you can afford. Don't worry too much about the rating, we all know the cheap brands exagerate their ratings. Get some good quality 6.5inch splits in the front POWERED BY AN AMP. I can't stress that enough. Then for me, I'd put a small (10 or 12 inch ) sub in a box in the boot (also amp powered) and if you want some rear fill maybe some good qual 6inch co-axials or 6X9s if you really don't want a sub.

Enjoy :)

Richard

i would agree, most important is a nice pair of splits for the front, i love Focal's whatever range suites your budget run off a nice amp....

Buy some 6.5in rears just for rear fill, and run them off the deck if you are running out of money, and i have found that the Clarion Subs are dirt cheap and produce fantastic results... they also dont need a huge amp to run, they come in single and dual voice coil...

Anyway, my 2c

Good luck!

hey im just putting a system in a 32 gtst..

Gonna be running an old pioneer deck (8600) to a sony amp

Then 2 6x9s at the front (i would never run 6x9s at the front but i have them left over from my previous car)

And then run a lightning audio sub through another sony amp.

That set-up cost me about a grand not including cables or deck and I'm expecting it to be good quality sound.

Like everyone's said: lots of amp power.

In my last car which was a 93 32GTST, I had the following

Pioneer entry level head deck (was like 280 on special)

Boston acoustic 6.5" front speakers 3way I think (good for 250)

Pioneer 6.5" 2way (150)

Alpine V series amp 300wats (330)

all fitted I think my system was just over 1k and I was happy with it. this time just wants the splits in the front and maybe better quality stuff.

thanks for the suggestions

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
