what the hell! ...

jumped onto the keysy bypass around 8pm. got to sets of lights up towards sth gippy fwy. a silver s2 pulls up next to me and pass's me, had a days kit , was thinking it was Southern Tango (FReddy) but a women driving maybe his wife?..

next set of lights 2mins later red light.. sitting next to the silver s2 checking it out waiting for the driver to turn to give a wave.....wasted my time doing that...got nothing.

looking in my rear view cause these blue lights got my eye..... darkgreen /blue S1 sporting a front mouth thru the front bar and a exhaust maybe just a catback.

again women driver, i pulled into the left lane she came up next to me i was thinking 'im gonna get a wave', as i look over nothing again. just keeped goin.

excited to see 2 other stagea's on the road, all at the same time, dissapointed they didnt even care or notice... *shrugs*

next time im going to Blar my HORN!

my wife approved on a new car wholey on the fact that it had heated leather seats. no shit.

thats what my miss's liked about it also.

she drove it once, couldn't get her out of it, she has a echo so there is a big difference in power and class.

My Mrs didn't like the size (my poor, poor R34 rims are testament to that), but she started having sneaky races when she had the car on her own...

Subsequently, I fitted a EXEDY clutch which even I had trouble getting used to, and the problem resolved itself! That said, she has tasted awd goodness: I have been ordered to get rid of the Chaser and buy her an evo VII... WOMEN! (Gotta love 'em!)...

Spotted Alex in the CL11QE-mobile on the weekly coasties cruise!

I'm in for next Thursday....whoops no I'm not...I'll be down at Sandown....will be in for the next Thursday though......I promise.

spotted a hot lookin STR86T with some lovely new wheels....very nice Nick :)

Thanks mate!

I'll take some pics and post them up over the weekend - it's too hot now and I've hit my internet limit, which will reset after midnight or so tonight. Uploading photos right now would be painfully slow...

Now that I've got twins the misses has taken over my car completely. I'm lucky to drive it to work some nights or drive it on the weekends :(

She loves it though, the amount of looks she gets, the sound of the turbo spooling and the way it wants to take off if she gives it abit of throttle.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
