I was a bit uncertain about the Wine Red colour, but after a while it grew on me.

It's just been washed and waxed and it's looking pretty shiny, only depressing thing is the nice long key scratch along the driver's door that some inconsiderate person done a week ago :O

I'll get it into XCM (Xclusive Colours Modifications) and have the door resprayed in the next few weeks.

Once that is out of the way it will be into Seven Hills Detailing Centre for a full inside and out detail.

[[d a n n y]] - are you located in Sydney or the surrounding area? If so you'll have to come to the Thursday night cruise so we can check it out :D

If anyone know's of a highly recommended Auto Upholstery let me know, I want to get the M35 interior straightened out and in a few minor things glued in place etc.

That's pretty local to both Stephen (Bis-e Bee) and I, Danny, so we should meet up for that Thursday night cruise and head up together...

Stephen, I've got a friend of a friend who I'm going to go and see soon to get some interior work done on my car - he doesn't have a business or work for anyone at the moment, but he takes pride in his work so I'll ask him if I can pass his details on to you. He's local too, which helps! I've already spoken to him a few times, it's just a matter of getting the time to go and actually consult with him to see what he can offer...

Understood Danny, I had mine out on a cruise first day I got it lolz.

You are more than welcome to join us whenever you feel like it, there is always a few Stagea's.

Spotted Nick in the Jolly Green Giant :( and Ian in the pocket sized Fiat.

Probably could have saved some fuel and parked the Fiat in the back of Nick's stag, that's car pooling for ya!

Seen a Red S1 yesterday turning down the old coast road, had "staged" on the number plate.

Then seen a white one heading down south towards busso.

2 stags in 2days pretty rare for the bogan town i live in.

Spotted a darkish Silver WC34 at 6.30pm this evening at the intersection of Vardy's & Sunnyholt Roads, Blacktown (Kings Park).

Didn't get a good view of the front end so I'm not sure if it was an S1 or S2, but it looked pretty neat and tidy...... so did the female occupants

... hopefully they are not on this forum lol

    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
    • Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
