SAU Vic General Meeting - Tuesday 16th November

Recommended Posts

Alright boys and girls.

Because its such nice weather I'm going to actually bring the GTR along tonight.

And because I'll have the GTR and because there isn't a lot on tonights meeting agenda I am going to go on a short (45min) cruise afterwards. I'll bring some basic maps and if anyone wants to join me that will be great.

:)

Sounds good I will be there - the WA represntative :)

Koah and I will be bringing both our cars down, should be goood!!!

Cya there - and bring some forms and stuff for me to join.

PS. anyone got front indicators? i need some asap. The front light indicators.

Cheers

Kim

you won't be the only WA representative

I'll try and get there although i have no idea what any of you look like. Anyone got a mobile i can ring when i get there to find you all?

Plus, any chance I can jump in with someone for a bit of Vic cruise action?

haha, dont worry about finding everyone. Look for the best looking people in the venue....behind them will be all the sau people. Seriously though, you wont miss them, they'll be the ones sitting on the biggest table talking the most amount of crap.

Doubt i'll be there though, gotta work

Missed the meeting.... :)

Driving down Nepean going back to Melbourne from taking my folks out to the Strawberry Farm.... car hit a gutter, damaging both front and rear tyre steel carcass on the passenger side.... Tyres bubbled up as the air pressure were only held by rubber... Wasn't even speeding at all...

Finally found an open tyre place this evening, ended up putting a set of 2nd hand 17x7.5 ANZ rims with 90% Dunlop 3000 tyres on, instead of buying two new tyres for the stock 16" that I've been wanting to replace anyway...

Well... damn gutter.

You just described tonights events :)

well the nissan silvia cruise we went to afterwards was orrite, but we didn't stick around for long as there were cops all over the place looking for what looked like a fugitive :)

You just described tonights events :)

Yep, every month its a good chance to eat of the schnitz, drink of the beer and talk of the sh1t.

Oh and monkey man, i told the cops you might be in the area, they wanted to ream you with their night sticks :kick:

Nice to meet some of our Vic counterparts. This WA boy was impressed :D

Big ups go out to Ash :)

You are a legend. Cheers for driving my fat @ss around all night and then dropping me back in the city rather than leaving me at some train station out in whoop whoop :(:worship:

I love that screamer pipe! It's so obnoxious....i want one :boinkcar:

    • Yeah good luck out there! Will be good to see a mighty GTST going harder than the GTRs
    • i will be there 😁
    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
