thoughts on new sticker design (pics)

Recommended Posts

Ok, as some of you will know i have been given the task of making some SAU stickers for club members etc. i serched for (SAU LOGOS) on these forums and i came across a few ideas from other members.

I ask gary1, what he thought of the idea and we agreed i would make a few samples.

Today we got around to cutting the stickers , there are two diffrent styles. i have sent 8 of each style to gary1.

i just stuck one of each on my car and took some pics so i could get a feed back from YOU !!

Please let me know what you all think.

That's some nice spamming for SAu Mr Sparkle

I'm with Mase on this one. I like the last one. The red and silver on the back panel. Can we maybe get just the url's done as well www.skylinesaustralia.com but with the SAU bit in the middle a different colour or something? Just a suggestiong. Just thinking of something like that to match the other ones.

The first two that Melv has posted if what's printed on the buckle of the lanyard that funkymonkey down south has made. Looks awesome on there. I just like the slimmer longer one. Rather than the tall skinny one?

... If that makes sense

I like those ones the way they are.. not too cluttered... and you can still read it.

like the "set" we've got now is the two side window ones and the long url one.. How does that one on the panel look if you squash it down to fit that rear glass bit?

i could do that

have a set. like two of those long ones and a www.skylinesaustralia.com or www.sau.com.au sticker on its own.

:type:

I like them all tops work dude!!! :(

Left you a voicemail on your mobile too bout the club stickers just to see where they are at (sorry for hijacking thread).

But yeah AWESOME!

EDIT: Hey can you make stickers which are see through from the inside? so you could make a massive one for the rear windscreen and stuff? Prolly cost a fortune though I'd imagine :) The ricer in me has to know :(

Wouldn't mind a mirror image one to go across top of the windscreen, and or straight one for top of the rear screen. Don't fancy putting big solid stickers on the rear quarter glass. Might cut down the rear peripheral vision too much. I liked the origional small one for that area. Like the big panel one though, maybe a dot com on the end....everyone knows to put the www in front.

If anyone feels creative I'm looking for designs to put on the white 2 door (semi sedan Strutto???)

    • This is how I last did this when I had a master cylinder fail and introduce air. Bleed before first stage, go oh shit through first stage, bleed at end of first stage, go oh shit through second stage, bleed at end of second stage, go oh shit through third stage, bleed at end of third stage, go oh shit through fourth stage, bleed at lunch, go oh shit through fifth stage, bleed at end of fifth stage, go oh shit through sixth stage....you get the idea. It did come good in the end. My Topdon scan tool can bleed the HY51 and V37, but it doesn't have a consult connector and I don't have an R34 to check that on. I think finding a tool in an Australian workshop other than Nissan that can bleed an R34 will be like rocking horse poo. No way will a generic ODB tool do it.
    • Hmm. Perhaps not the same engineers. The OE Nissan engineers did not forsee a future with spacers pushing the tie rod force application further away from the steering arm and creating that torque. The failures are happening since the advent of those things, and some 30 years after they designed the uprights. So latent casting deficiencies, 30+ yrs of wear and tear, + unexpected usage could quite easily = unforeseen failure. Meanwhile, the engineers who are designing the billet CNC or fabricated uprights are also designing, for the same parts makers, the correction tie rod ends. And they are designing and building these with motorsport (or, at the very least, the meth addled antics of drifters) in mind. So I would hope (in fact, I would expect) that their design work included the offset of that steering force. Doesn't mean that it is not totally valid to ask the question of them, before committing $$.
    • The downside of this is when you try to track the car, as soon as you hit ABS you get introduced to a unbled system. I want to avoid this. I do not want to bleed/flush/jack up the car twice just to bleed the f**kin car.
    • But again, the engineers said your cast aluminium would be fine based on the load that would be stretching that section. Same load stretching the bolts in a flex (not the twist), with a much smaller cross sectional area than the original part you've broken. It's why you'd need to be using higher strength bolts, but that's just making up for the strength you lose with less area...
