- Yeah you can get BP Ultimate here, God damn boy we've even got running water and toilets that flush now. Got a shit load of room, big secure yard

I thought that'd get some comments...:( good to see country cousins...LoL. Running water, BPU and electrickry. Great pubs and good times to be had then.

Spent the last 18 months down Albury way at a little town Corowa. Worked at the Toby's Factory at Wahgunya. You might have seen my Black GTS-T (same plates).

Got smoked by a guy in a white 180sx from Wodonga  . Mind you it was quick and having missed second it was all over. Had to move back to Canberra, so embarrasing. Now I got me a GTR and looking to hand his ass back to him on a plate next year.

R

that white 180 is long gone sin

ull just have 2 give me a run for ur money :( i think i will even give u a 100m headstart :)

btw i think i have seen ur car parked in dean st, albury once if thats any concelation

Just a thought, why not hold it at someplace like the Laurel Hill Convention Centre, between Batlow and Tumbarumba. Accommodation, food, and maybe drinks [not sure] if not then byo. Showers, toilets etc and I reckon price would be low-ish.

There are other centre's around like that one, they make good bases for car/motorcycle meets etc.

Anyway January in Wagga doesn't sound too flash, +40'C days and all [good drinking weather though].

True - High temp is a pain, latter in the year is good.

BTW

The ACTSAU Chrissy Cruise was great guys (Big Day Out!). Sorry none of you could make it here.

Trident came down from the mountains with a mate both in liners. (he really is a bikie in a Skyline). Local Canberra lads showed up in numbers.

Cruising out there in a pack of R32 GTR's and a 33 with GSXR 1000 riding shotgun was just an AWSOME sight. Pulled up to find a whole heap more liners (31,32,33 + 34's) lining the picnic area.

After the BBQ cruised back to the Jerra Pub and party'd hard till stumps.

Really impressed with the responsible attitude shown by all.

If everyone wants, I can get prices etc for the Laurel Hill one and if anybody has a similar center/centre near them, do the same and we'll see how much it's gunna cost us and if anybody is interested in going vs cost etc

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
