Just spoke with ivan @ speedworks. He's more than happy for you guys to come to him for $50/person to have a power run on his dyno. Depending on numbers, might be able to get a couple of runs. I'd be pretty interested to see what numbers my car is up to now. I was up to 160HP @ wheels just after fitting an exhaust (stock airbox still etc). I'm sure it'll be over 200HP @ wheels.

Guest Autoworx

Streetforce in Wangara have just got a new Dyno and only charge $55 inc GST for a power run including printout. They are located next to me a Unit 3/38 Baretta Rd. They also manufacture and fit front mount intercoolers, 3" mandrel exhausts, air filters, bleed valves etc. They have already fitted heaps of mods to cars I've sold to customers so I can vouch for their price and quality.

Call Jason on 9408 3018 for quotes or pop in. You can check out our Skylines in stock & body kits at the same time

mid december mid december!

stuff any later off :uh-huh:

whats wrong with mackas car? mid december macka - be ready :D

dunno what they usually cost, but do they tweak it a bit? or is a power-run just a read-out? if it's just a read-out, I'd be inclined to pay 20 or 30 as greg said

Ok, I'll talk to ivan again. If you want $30/car we are going to need to get a fair amount of people. When I rang PSI (about 6 months ago) to get a price on a dyno run (ie: run car with stock everything and then fit exhaust and run car again) I got quoted $100+ for the dyno time.

Hey Miko!

Last time you helped organise the dyno day it only cost about $25 at PSI. Maybe you could have a chat to Brett?

I think it would be good to use the PSI dyno again as most of us used this one last time. And as we all know the dyno is really best used as a refference (before and after) not as an absolute.

Yu[p,

I'm in the same state of mind as everyone else here... $50 is over the top, however a big thanks has to go to you for at least trying organise something like this! GREAT IDEA! Hey Summoner, the last Rollaboyz dyno day that i saw your car at when youwere tlaking to my bro i think he said it was only $30 that was at Melville i think???

Yeah i will be speaking to Brett@PSI sometime this week and should be able to get us a nice deal for a dyno day.... i guess the more numbers the better kinda thing... will this be on a saturday or a sunday guys?

Also PSI got their new dyno about 4 weeks ago! VERY NICE!!

any 2 wheel dyno is out if any of the GTR boys and girls want to come.

so that doesn't leave much of an option.

PSI's is 4wd theres a couple more around but i'm not sure where.

$100 at PSI is for tuning not just a power run.

power runs are usually the $50 mark.

Dyno days tend to be about $30 per car. but u need decent numbers atleast 15-20 cars.

adam nothing wrong with using PSI for a dyno day.

work on my car has been fine no problems others we know the story. i just don't go there anymore because of his stupid wife. Accused me of trying to ruin there business when they were broken into and she tried to get Kylie fired from her job.

    • Power steering is probably because someone has nuked the HICAS CU and you no longer have the variable power asist doing what it is supposed to. How much boost are you running? You are aware that any more than 10 psi on the stock ECU is just asking for it to go to full R&R (that's Rich & Retard, which is effectively Retarded and Retarded!) which kills all the power. Depending on the exact conditions, it can just be runnign on the fat and stupid end of the maps, then the conditions change, you make a little more boost and the ECU goes into panic.
    • @BuiltNotBought Just as GTSboy said.   If you want driveabilty and more low down torque..keep the stock runners. They are VERY good from a factory. I have them too on my RB25DET NEO and as a GTSboy i have fmic but with stock piping route(i have Blitz intercooler) Iam making around 320 BHP and the car pulls "hard" from like 2,5k all the way to 7k. I have it dyno tuned to mimic N/A power curve and making little less max torque due to the smallbox tranny. But driveability is very great. I had 350Nm below 3k so car feels very quick.   EDIT:  Not my channel but i saw this and i know that is what i want (and i have exactly this)
    • Looking to sort out a couple of issues on my skyline  It recently was rebuilt, however rebuilder long story short did not give two flying effs about the work he did. So moving forward it's running but I have two persistent issues 1) it has a misfire / lag type of issue (was at higher RPMs but I had a dead piggy back ecu removed which improved it) now it's not as bad but still does it at random, I thought it may have been a boost issue I'm running an older turbosmart dual stage controller, turbosmart told me to try running off gate pressure however it still has a lag at random times. It has New MAF, maf plug, coil packs, sparks, CP harness.. injectors tested and cleaned. Factory ECU. 2) Power steering issue. It is tight as anything. Flushed power steering, rebuilt my pump because the bearing was shot. Flushed again still tight (mainly when parking and going slow into my driveway etc)  No kinks in hard lines, replaced the lines I could see had cracks. Still tough to steer.  I was told to shim a coin and place into the solenoid plug? Is there anything else. My steering angle sensor also has a issue. It's a used one I replaced, does it need to be calibrated? I feel like I've tried everything and this car is my voodoo doll.
    • Holy shit... wow!!! I totally missed this
    • One main filter. Each tank has a prefilter to keep rocks and small children out, then the big main filter that also does water separation. Clogged the first one so bad it was like a rev limiter at 3200rpm. Literally just like dropping the throttle off and maintaining rpm!
