^^^ That game screen on the pre-release was changed alot for the actual game... you can only see the GTS-R in the 'Old Timers' used car section.... even then it only appears peiodically. You can also race against the GTS-R in the 'Race of Red Emblem' Skyline series.

Guys I also want to confirn the DR30!!!

...and...

JAY LENO'S 'TANK CAR'!!!

Some more pics:

Option Stream Z 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i'll try to go to 360Km/h just like Dai!!!

I soooooooooooo want this game!

Will Jap-spec GT4 works on Oz-spec PS2?

Cheers

Grant

The Option Stream Z (2004 model - not the 1st one) is a laggy bitch! It only comes on song at about 6,000rpm... before that... doughy offboost goodness. It sucks on the circuit.

Hahaha check it out, I got the Daimler Benz 'Horseless Carriage'...

1hp... max rev limit 900rpm... and does the quarter in...

1.32:2...

With a top speed of 18-odd km/h, it was painful waiting for it to roll over the line I can tell you.

hey rezz,

is there very much japanese in the game? i have my ps2 chipped to play jap games and can buy it online and have it here in aus in a week. So tempting. I will be buying the pal release but if there is enough english to play it for a few months i could be swayed easily. thanks mate.

ps. how long does learing japanese take? are there any shortcuts

Rezz; with your gunmetal BNR32 and red V35 coupe, did you add the rear wings to them? They sure as hell don't look stock :aroused:

Also, can you confirm whether there are brand name aero kits available? i.e. from C-West/T&E Vertex etc.

Mate's going to have fun with the Z18 Bluey...He's a pretty big Bluebird fanatic and is working on buying a 910 Series 3 TRX atm

prae: Yes, I changed the rear spoilers on those cars. About the aero kits, no, there aren't any unfortunately... I was expecting them to at least have some front spoliers or splitters... but no deal.

Phat6: No, they don't show off intercooler or exhaust mods :D You can't change engines either :):(... Drift mode? Nope... there is the HKS Genki Hyper S15, Blitz D1 R34 'Nomura' drift Skyline, and BP D1 FC3S RX-7 drift car, but they don't drift very well unless you put sports tires on the back.

Oh yeah I almost forgot: there's a feature in the wheel shop called 'Wheel Of The Day', where you can put *any* wheel from *any* car (bar the Daimler Motor Carrriage) on to the car you are modifying. The wheels change daily (of course) with about 15 wheels on show each day. It's a pretty cool feature because alot of wheel that aren't represented in the brand name shops (ie: Bridgestone, Yokohama, OZ etc) are in the Wheel of the Day section... eg: Regamaster wheels are in WOTD, but not in the brand name shops.

There are alot of steelies and hubcaps from oldschool Vw's and Yank cars that you can put on your Cizeta V16T!!!

To be able to drift in GT3, you could just buy the full race suspension, fully tunable lsd, and simulation tires. As far as horsepower, try to hit around the 400 mark on all cars, some a little under (like s13's).

The trick is in the settings. Go into your settings menu for your car and turn off the traction control and yaw control (turn them both down to zero). If you don't do this, you'll have a hell of a time trying to drift.

Suspension setup is a personal preference, I like it to be pretty hard.

Does this work in GT4?

Thanks for answering my questions Rezz, and for posting screenshots up so we can have an ogle :)

Can't wait for it to be released in Aus :D

Oh, sorry for making you repeat yourself. Just re-read the thread and you've already answered, thanks again though :)

    • Hey everyone. Is there a way I can get the original window sticker (maroney label) for my 1995 R33 GTST? I doubt I’ll be able to ever get it but it’s worth a shot to ask
    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
