i love my DR but i have only found like 2 people out of like 100 'car enthusiasts' that i talk to that actually know what an R30 is let alone DR30 (iron mask). im not even the full bottle on all the different models myself but it gets annoying explaining to everyone its a 30. i persoanlly dont like 31s that much so im adament with people that its a 30 not a 31 haha

get sick of those people that go 'oh yeh i raced one of these the other day, wast bad pretty slow though' and im like ah yeh cool when i know every DR30 in perth and theres only about 3 that regularly see the road and one of them was mine before it broke and i never raced anyone coz it was never running properly! so these people are going round racing n/a 31's thiking theyre racing DR30s. but thats okay, once i get mine fixed with cage and big top mount turbo ill be able to give them a nice surprise :D

I have 2 brand new GT guard badges & a boot badge that I was going to fit on my MR30 at one stage. All the RS badges are still available, one day I'll get a new set (or stickers) for my DR as the original ones are pretty faded.

Hey Ben,

You want to swap me the 2 GT badges for 2 NEW R/S badges?

Cheers,

Dennis

Ben,

I have these guard badges, I was going to put them on my MR.

They're off the U12 Pintara Ti.

What do you call a GT boot badge?

Cheers,

Dennis

ghostrider just bought this for $100+ shipping

That's OK, but it's always gunna be an add on, that's why I'm not using the one I have.

I went for the Jenesis item, as it was a factory option and looks like it belongs, AND it's not adjustable and therefore won't alter my class standings with CAMS, as you will now be a sports sedan.

Cheers

The guard GT badges I have are the same as the R30 Ti ones (blue/white) as opposed to the red/white ones in: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=28672

The GT boot badge is the same script as the RS turbo badges (uppercase), but funnily enough, only has 2 letters: GT!

:-P

Sounds like a deal Dennis, I'll throw in the boot badge too. Expect a PM when I find them (currently stashed in shed somethere)!

Just checked mine, they are genuine red/white and in perfect condition, so just might remove them and store away for ron.

hey all you r30 dudes out there

i'm in japan at the mo' and is it possible to buy a BOV from japan and bring it back here and get it installed with the necessary adapters that (insert car shop here) will use?

[ant] i'm looking in your direction since you're from Perth :P

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
