no one has compliance yet. there's a lot of companies running around saying they have the crash data and all the documents etc, but no one has coffed up the plates... so no, you can't import one yet.

meh, not a skyline my arse... you guys do know that the JGTC R34's didn't run RB engines right? they ran VQ's... based on the ones that are now available in the V35s. They're awesome cars in their own right, and they do what they're built to do best... which is to be a family car. Don't forget that the Skyline model was never intended to be the GT car or the Bathurst winner, the first designed Skyline in 1957 was a family car. The sports car model was the Fairlady, and the small car was the Silvia (or Bluebird).

Among other things, when I said Nissan selling their soul, this includes giving away the forced induction. No doubt the VQ series is a well-engineered engine, but that's not the point.

If it's good enough for Opel, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi etc to be releasing new models with turbos then why isn't it good enough for Nissan?

Because Renault are f#ckwits & they can suck on my nuts...

and for GODS SAKES people just PUT YOUR TROLLEYS BACK IN THE TROLLEY BAY! ITS NOT THAT HARD! THIS ISN'T AMERICA, you stupid lazy fools.

Hey Racsov500... Fetch my trolley... Chop Chop 'click of fingers * 2 sound fx'. lol j/k i always put'em in the trolley bay.

dont forget mazda have dropped the turbo/s on the 13b too, so both nissan and mazda (and any others im forgetting)  must see some benefit we don't....

Yeh, they get the benefit of a larger target audience with a family car which means they get more money & we get less performance cars. Its all about family cars these days, & all that means is that its all about making the most profit for some prick owner & shareholders.

Yeh and a Turbo Euro Accord too :) But ya see, these cars Turbo 6, & Turbo Euro wouldnt be coming out if the NA ones hadn’t first been out in the market to see how popular they are & bring in some money. Now releasing a turbo model they make even more money with family goers buying the NA models and people with a little more money & or wanting a performance one then they buy the Turbo model. The car companies cant loose this way! More profits, Brilliant.

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
