Ppl, RB20LagWagon is totally correct. We shouldn'y be worried about lancers and the like when the real problem is riced up Skylines in our own backyard.

And the problem isn't going to get any better. With the price dropping all time, younger drivers are getting into them and their the ones who think stickers == cool. The only thing we can hope for is that the new import regs slow down the import of new cars (to keep out vale up) and that insurance stays ridiculously high (to keep exculsivity up).

At the risk of sounding anitsocial, who's the assclown in the R33 with underbody neons at the last cruise?

The Wine Red one with blue neon's ? I think they'd suit a WHITE 'line better myself :)

well that would probably be me your talking about, don't really like the term "assclown" each to their own i say

I'm not thinking of getting any at all but what is the police stance on neon Lights under cars? Is it as bad as fog lights? When do you use these lights? I'm not too sure what the stance is like on a skyline but i have seen neons on a lancer and i couldn't stop laughing... my theory is don't laugh at a car unless you can beat it coz they can laugh at you when you are eating their smoke!

However i do have a question and also a answer that maybe we could expand on.....

Q: Define Rice?

A: Well Rice to me is anything done extremely out of the norm to purposely grab attention of the public eye...

Dude, its not like I sit here thinking up derogatory names for people. I saw the car and it was literally the first word that sprung to mind, "assclown".

"Each to their own" is favorite term among ricers the world over. Its understandable if the car came with neons when you bought it, but if you paid hard earned money for them...

Forget about the negative image it has on Skylines. Forget about the stereotypical judgements cops make on Skylines when they see your car with neons. Forget even about the possible road saftey issues. Keep using them, I say. It'll make all the plain jane R33s look all the more elegant (or as elegant as a whale can look :D).

25GTT, adam 32 has it in essence. The definitive guide to rice boys: http://www.riceboypage.com/what_is_riceboy/

this could go on and on forever, the rice debate, yeah they are a bit ricey, i do agree with you there Gradenko, and agree with you again on saying that was the first thing that came to your head, just the same as when i see a done up excel or something (pregnant rollerskate), it does make me laugh yeah, i dont use them all that often cause it does get alot of looks, some unwanted, they dont last all that long with the water anyway, so when they blow up ill probably just forget em, and after all they are only a couple of neons, not the full F&F graphics, but ill respect most cars out there and what people wanna do to them, after all it is their cars and they shouldnt have to do stuff just to please/displease other people.

thats my 10cents worth.

:D

If you buy a car, any car for that matter..... YOU CAN DO WHAT THE FARK YOU WANT TO IT....... leave people alone.

If all your worried about is people putting stickers on cars.... for farks sake get a life.

It your car do what the hell you want, as long as you like it good for you. Each to there own.

Sorry about the rant.... just sh*ts me.

Daniel

I personal am not a fan of stickers on cars.... and hence never put them on my cars... but the point im trying to make is that a person who works hard to buy a car can do WHAT EVER they want to it..... each to their own.

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
