RB for ever! ;)

i know where you live!

well, 180s are cool, BUT... an rb engine sounds 10x better than a sr! My eventual plan is to get a s15 or a 180sx with s15 front and drop in a rb26/25 ;)

and in regards to the original question... i think a section for other nissas (maybe call it SR Corner) would be good. So all s13/s14/s15/gtir/180sx ppl can use that area.

or we could just call the club, Sklyine, Silvia, Pulsar and 180sx austraila, but that would be gay.

Truthfully.

These forums are so succesful compared other ones, alot of people actually know who's who and theres plenty of info to be had.

I was kind of serious about a 180SX thread, or maybe a subject heading "Other Nissans".

The forums have come along wat...I remember posts on these very forums saying you could only be a posting member if you can actually prove you own a Skyline...LOL!

Yeah...there was a thread popping around with a debate on if only people with Skylines would be allow to join and post....

I think Georgie might of been involved as such....maybe I'm dreaming.

Without meaning to bring up the past & say I told you so,

"I told you so".

While SkylinesAustralia is a very strong name, we should be actively trying to widen our membership to other nissans and in fact any japanese performance car - and our forums should support this.

If we say "skylines only", we're as bad as the HSV owners club (who wouldn't let a skyline come along to one of their days.)

We are all enthusiast of cars -> more specifically japanese cars -> Nissans -> skylines. Why would we alienate potential members? Lets get as many ppl involved in our events as possible so that the club remains strong long after all R32s move to museums. Other clubs have existed for decades, eg hotrod clubs, why can't SAU?

/end membership rant, resume normal sarcasm

I typed that slowly so that the Sr20 owners could read it.

While you where typing slowly, a quick little SR20 caught you running wide, performed a perfectly timed switch back, and exited well in front...

Pffttt long lazy and fat RB's....hehehe

Good points thou ;)

Ha! Not likely! Very easy to cover the inside 'line with a car this wide.

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
    • They have said food will be limited. Mainly meat pies and sausage rolls from memory. But they have a coffee van!
