DJ Brave
I finally get my first beloved R33 GTS-T this Sunday 20/02/2005!! I've researched this for nearly 2 years and have finally bought a 1997 model in black with 43,000km, a sports muffler and a set of ADVAN 17's. Other than that it's totally stock. I have my ideas on what I would like do to modify it, but, WHAT DO YOU GUYS RECOMMEND??? Keep in mind its a daily driver and I'm not interested in allout power for the dragstrip. I was thinking: 1. Power FC 2. FMIC 3. EXHAUST 4. POD FILTER 5. DUAL STAGE BOOST 6. NEW TURBO What order first?? DJ Brave
congratulations!! 2 years...holy crap..no wonder you're excited and I agree with above...def zorst and filter first...let her breathe.. I was thinking that if i tuned a power fc while standard first it would improve fuel economy and give it extra power. then i could tune it whenever i add more mods. THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR HELPING ME OUT!!! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64867-i-get-it-on-sunday-first-mods/#findComment-1216594 Share on other sites
raz0r$harP.UK
If you're going for a daily driver, and not on the strip, do you really need the new turbo? performance-wise
This is what order I did and I recently(2 days ago) got 208.2rwkw at the wheels on 9.6psi. 3 zorst 4 pod with CAI box 1 power fc and tune 2 front mount 5 EBC & tuned. ( I did 2 & 5 together and tuning 2 days ago) This is with a stock turbo, clutch, AFM, shocks/suspension/etc... If you decide to go with larger turbo you should strongly consider the other mods aswell. I will be doing my handling, braking, clutch, AFM and also cams and cam gear before upgrading my turbo. After this I should reach my goal of 250rwkw good luck Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64867-i-get-it-on-sunday-first-mods/#findComment-1219728 Share on other sites
DJ Brave
If you're going for a daily driver, and not on the strip, do you really need the new turbo? I would mainly want to upgrade to a new turbo for a stronger, more reliable ball bearing turbo with steel impellers, I've heard that the standards cant be pushed safely, thats all.
