Did you hear on the radio this morning about the truck driver and his actions toward the drags in his street... he rammed two of the cars with his truck cos the cops were taking too long to come and stop the drags in his street. Last thing you need is a car out of control doing 180km+ through the front of your house.

Yeah it's on the Herald Sun too.

My take on this: "Waste the muthafarkas!!" - Samuel Jackson

Bugger that article - did anyone read the article on the Oz built Saker GT-R??

I want one!

Got Ugly?? meh... it's alright, looks like a tryhard ferrari f40

I prefer the JOSS http://www.joss.com.au/joss.html

Yeah but the Joss doesn't come standard with a MoTeC ecu and doesn't have a nice STi engine - where parts are readily available.

For less than $100K the SVS GT-R seems (on the surface) a pretty impressive package.

I feel sorry for that truck driver; he's being charged for what he did...stupid police for not getting there soon enough.

And so he should... the silly fux0r took the law into his own hands which he had no right to do and is just as much in the wrong as the guys who were street racing.

That factory area has been used for years to hold illegal drag meets. Interesting that the police called it "Operation Exclusive"... hehehe hmm... www.exclusive-auto.org

F40? Stop sniffing all that brake solvent:)  EB110 or a LeMans car perhaps.  :P

It looks nice and racey to me:thumbsup:

LOL.. well its my opinion.. the front end looks like trying to copy the F40 look. In the same price range I'd prefer this Ultima GT-R  -

i dont feel sorry for him. because what was put on the news etc is utter bullshit. the guys were not street racing as it is a dirty road there. he deliberetly ramed them trying to get them into the creek. how do i know this? because the guys who were in the cars are my best friends. shows how the media like to exploit things. as for the drag racing in braeside. servs em right. shuld keep it to the drag strip

apparently he was drinking and they werent dragging?

if this is true, the people in the car should make a fuss about the media

anyways, the cops shouldve pulled the cars over as soon as they were dragging, not wait until the 4th,5th,6th drag so they could clock the highest speeds

i think jail time will straighten up along of "racers" on the streets

no one will learn until they've been scared straight

Yes that is very true. Glad you mentioned "members of other car clubs" in with that as well. I dont deny some of our members do participate in illegal drags, but there isnt to much we can do about that. Like with any club there will be a few bad apples.

Just that mentioning our club and even providing a link isnt very fair on the admins. I'm sure you didnt mean anything by it, but like all members should be about their club I am patriotic towards exclusive.

Thanks buddy (:

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
