as with all e-bay jokes... dont go near them

If you want to boost your engine at 10 ponds or over (Strongly Not recommended)  you need:

aftermarket pistons

Aftermarket Head gasket.

The maximum recommended Boost on this turbo is 14 Ponds. We are not responsible of servicing this turbo if its been blown by stress of over boosting.

they have got to be joking? this company by stating such has no idea about the product they are selling or the applications it will be used on.

But something from a reputable dealer mate. And save ourself the hassle

E-Bay itmes are no-no's for the msot part

you get what you pay for in the turbo world ... to create a well balanced high performance turbo you need a LOT of :

a: experience

b: tooling

c: research

d: high quality manufacturing

all of these equal a product that is not cheap ....

but you take you chance, maybe you'll get a decent turbo, or maybe you'll be wasting your $600 .. i know i'd like to know that even as tho i paid just under 2k for my turbo, i KNOW it a good turbo and is not going to let me down, or if it does, then i have a warranty with a reputable company ...

just my .02c

Have a look at all the photos in here: http://digi-hardware.com/photos/Turbos/ The workmanship looks pathetic.........

Shonky as! Who uses a phone battery to hold up a turbo? cmon! At the end of the day dude just save your pennies for a good brand name turbo like HKS, GARRETT etc etc and you should have minimal problems.

After everything said above, no one has mentioned that the turbo pictured has t2 flanges and so wont bolt onto a skyline.

It actually states in the literature that an after market manifold is required if the turbo doesn't fit. :) gold

Gotta love the arret stamp.

Sprucy those things look really rough , can vouch nothing Garrett about them . No doubt the PRChina will get better , Garrett needs to look out if they start manufacturing bearing and seal kits for GTBB Turbos . It seems the US turbo shops can rebuild the GTBB's , its only lack of spares that's stopping us ATM . Its high time Jeff got the finger out and started the ball rolling here .......................

Going a bit off topic. Some of the other china replica parts such as the replica intercoolers for example, are they half decent for the price they ask for them? Or are they just a crappy brand that is going to crap itself in a couple of months time?

intercoolers are different because they dont have any moving parts

so there is not much that can really go wrong with them

the hybrid copies that are going around are a good cooler

great value for money

i know a couple mates that have em and couldnt be happier

mate, that turbo looks fully sick. especially considering that Digi-Hardware designed and built it themselves. I mean who hasn't heard of digi-hardware? they are at the forefront of turbo technology I'm sure. the only problem is, they state that you will need 50cc injectors, and I don't know where you can buy ones that small. hmm, maybe take out all your injectors except two. that should be sweet.

    • The powder coating came in at $250 EACH. The TRX rims got a coat of clearcoat on the outside only.
    • Bit wet, but YUMMY
    • Keeping in mind that I am currently getting flat 10 L/100km on my RB25DET, which means >>500km/tank. I would test this car for vacuum leaks, check codes and AFM signal with NissDataScan as D says, check plugs, do a compression check while they are out.
    • It is hard to be specific half way across the world...but it *seems* like it might have a minor issue. Is the idle stable and does it rev smoothly? I would not expect any pops out of what I am assuming is a standard ECU, standard tune, standard exhaust. You can use Nissan Data Scan to find out exactly what is happening when it runs, the cable/software is reasonably affordable if you are not planning on changing the ECU (which hopefully you are not with an NA skyline) BTW your mileage may not be that far off, these are heavy old tech cars, and being NA might mean you use a heavy foot to keep up with traffic....
    • Hey guys! Y'all are the masters so figured I'd check in on a few items here. - My engine sounds ever-so-slightly more raspy than the other NA RB25s I've listened to. It's barely noticeable but definitely a slightly different sound. - When I back off the throttle at high RPM, I will sometimes get a pop out of the exhaust, assuming this can be diagnosed as misfire. Some history on the car: - Had an exhaust leak in auction sheet but was claimed to be fixed by seller (bought from USA importer).  - Car's coil packs and sparks were replaced when it was sold to me, but unsure on what the gap is and whether the coil packs are correct.  - A prior mechanic had misdiagnosed a pilot or throwout bearing sound as LSPI/detonation. Had played with timing a bit, pops/raspy sound of engine just got worse. Got timing reset. - Had failed emissions a few times. First time went in as is, failed. Second time, replaced cat, still failed, running rich as hell. Third time replaced o2 sensor, passed. Car still smells gassy though. - Timing belt and valve cover gasket also replaced.  - Gas mileage is... low. about 350-400K per tank.  Any idea if I'm having any serious issues here or does this all sound like normal old NA RB stuff and I'm fine to drive it with the pops/slightly raspy engine? If it'll help, I can get drop a video of the sound of the engine.
