Series II with red emblem on grill?

Hi guys,

I have a 96 series II R33, has series II interior, dual airbags, bonnet, air dam, spoiler, headlights, dash, steering wheel etc...in fact every series II feature BUT it has the red skyline emblem on front grill, not chrome on bonnet like other series II's on here that I've seen.

It's not a series 1 grill either (those slats). Not sure how well you can see it in this pic, (might take a better one later) but it's like a mesh kind of grill - same mesh as the front bar has under the driving lights.

Anyone seen one like this?

I couldn't get the picture to work, but if you mean the black inset grill with the red 'S' on it, most of the S2 R33s i have seen have that grill.

its normal man. Some have the red S on the grill or the Chrome S on the Bonnet

Ahh ok cool thanks Yeah it's black grill with red S...just wondered cos every pic of S II I'd seen on here had chrome S on bonnet...thought my car was some kind of red-S'ed freak!

Actually the red 'S' grill was an optional extra when you bought a skyline new from the dealer...hence some have it and some don't.

UAS were selling one a while back, calling it a "Nismo grill for Series II R33".

The factory option sounds more likely to me.

have you got ABS? might be a series 1.5. a lot of 1.5 came with the red S

Not sure about ABS...can't be a 1.5, it's got SII interior, dash, 2 airbags, bodykit, headlight shape etc etc

pretty sure 1.5 came with all the series 2 gear apart from the ABS.

Nah Series 1.5 has Series II rear spoiler, some internals, but everything else (all interior trim, headlight shape, grill, bodykit aside from rear wing, airbags etc) is all same as Series 1. PS. I don't mean to sound defensive about it being SII but I did a bunch of research on S1, S1.5 & S2 differences before I bought it to make sure I didn't get ripped

abs was an option on s1 and s2's so dont use it as a guide to determine the difference between s1 and s2.

Silver'sR33 it's just a Nissan factory option grille, car doesn't come with the silver S on the bonnet, but instead this mesh type grille with the red S. My SII car has one too.
