Oil Cooler on R32?

Hey guys. Do R32 GTST's come with standard small oil-coolers? I have oil in my radiator, guessing it's head gasket (hoping it's not a cracked head). My mate just told me to check the oil cooler first, coz water/oil often get mixed in that.

I'm hoping it's the Gasket man, i'm in some serious trouble if it's the head yeah? How much does a reco head cost?

Parts and labour would be close on 2k if you paid someone to do it.

actually I think what this guys mate is reffering to is the factory water/oil cooler (heat exhanger) near the filter mount. it has coolant flowing through one part, and oil through another. it helps to bring oil up to temp quicker and once hot (slightly) helps cool it down. Never heard of one breaking though and mixing coolant and oil.

Thats what my friend is talking about. His one went in his TX3 Turbo. He got his head rebuilt twice, cost him 2k each time, then he found out it was a $40 part

anything is possible, so yeah it's worth suggesting to whoever works on your car, but at the same time I wouldn't get your hopes up.
