Wow, it was so good being a flaggie. At first i thought yeah, since i can't afford to run i might as well go flaggie, put a bit of effort in for our club cos' i remember back down PI no ones want to be a flaggie and i was wrapt being so close to all the action......

Watching Ben, Andrew, Chris, MR Brisby the AVOR33 flying pass was just so good. Sad to see GTREAL broke down a few times due to the cooler clamp ( last time he broke down was right in front of us ) but THE BEST OF ALL was this BEAST ...

anyone know who this is? Me and Dean ( a Rex official i think ) was hanging out just to see THE BEAST get back on track, this thing was FLYING.

Anyone know what mod it has, the front camber was crazy and ofcourse all of our members and the rexies was putting on a really good show. Now i know when its' the next track day and what to do when i can't affort to run :Pimp2:

a few more pics ..

racing there happens all the time from different clubs. SAU Vic tag along with the WRX track days - you can see a list of them on this page http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/default.php

No more sandown track days for the rest of this year with WRX guys. Winton and calder are the only ones left this year. Coming into winter track days usually stop for a while.

Congrats to all the boys for getting some great times at Sandown.

The presence of SAU was excellent both on and off the track.

Pics to follow soon.

PS. On ya Brisby for showing everyone what the 32 could do. Still can't believe you were the only one still going at the end of the day - it just doesn't seem right!!!

Ni - yeah Brisby surprised us all - perhaps we should have more faith in him.

Aaron - thanks - it was hard work taking photos, shooting video footage and still being a semi-compotant flag marshall!!!

Oh yeah and if anyone wants one of the above photos - PM me an email addy and I can send you the full size version.

For obvious reasons it was the most fun ive had at a track day for a while...:D

Good work to Bec, West, Jarrod for flagging, :D

And for what its worth, for those that had mishaps, just remember swings and roundabouts so next time will be better:)

Main thing is not only did Gareth walk away from the acco, lol he drove away:)

Mate i dont know if there is anything i can do, bu im on holidays so let me know if you need a set of hands.

And truth be told i was hoping for a 1:27-1:26, the fact that the car easily dipped into the mid 1:25s i was a bit surprised myself, what surprised me more is that it did with smoking the inside tyre onto the two main straights, so with just the diff shimmed up i may go see if i can strangle a low 1:24 out of it:)

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
