Ok so how about wakefield. For $80 (+$30 for those without a licence) we can take our pick of the the following dates:

- Thu 20th Feb, Open Practice/No Speed Limit Day - Cars Only

- Fri 28th Feb, Open Practice/No Speed Limit Day - Cars Only

- Tue 4th March, Open Practice/No Speed Limit Day - Cars Only

OR my pick :

- Sat 8th March, No Speed Limit Day - Street Cars Only,

The saturday for those of us that work, plus it gives us time to organise, and for me to install my new goodies.

Super DDDDDOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!

ARGH!!!!! I have to break something now!!!! *bashes head against pillow*

I'll still be more than happy to bring some bread.

Cruise to kangaroo valley? Kiama? How about north? Don't know north too well and would be great to wonder up that way into "enemy" territory :starwars:

Well Guys I'm on now... sorry for the late notice but as Dino has said, this event has been cancelled... and apparently all the moto concepts days at oran park have been cancelled... this leaves them with only one full car day at eastern creek and that is towards the end of the year... november I think tracy said.

I am leaning towards meting at oran park anyway and giving back deposits... then cruising anywhere.

my thoughts were Bells and beach... then I thought bells beach but changed my mind as too far to travel!!!

maybe lunch in Richmond?

If you guys are happy I'll organise a alternative cruise event for the 16th and we can all run with that... let me know.

Sorry,

Dan.

Dan,

No need to apologise - not your fault.....

Let's do a crazy kick arse cruze & BBQ instead......

Maybe the first official SAU NSW club event ?? Dino ??

Yeah guys, I think that a cruise BBQ are a definate goer. Post up your ideas.

I have 2:

1. Meet at Oran park around 10 for a 11am departure. Head across to Richmond for a bite to eat at a nice pub I know of (or we could go to the pool and use their BBQ facilities and swim) and then we have options: 1 putty road. 2 Bells Line of Road. 3 Springwood road (this one doesn't take long though, and gets pretty boring after 10 mins... but if hill climb is your thing then this is the place to be!)

2. Meet Oran park around 8:30 for a 9am departure and head to the beach... set up BBQ and eat sandy bangers over a game of beach cricket/soccer/volley ball.

let me know what you think... but either way I want to meet somewhere and get these deposits back to everyone.

if you want to see about Wakefield then go here

If you want to follow what is happening with moto concepts then go here

Just remember we only have 8 days to get this thing planned... so if no ideas by Wednesday morning I'll talk it over with the missus and make a decision.

Talk to you all soon,

Dan.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

No fair! That sux0rs..

However, must say thanks to dan for organising it and collecting deposits and what not. You put alot of work into it and its a shame it got canceled like this.

Would love to get out on another track at some stage.. Keep us posted.

Hmmm looks like the info on the Motoconcepts calendar is waaaay out of date. They are showing numerous Drive Days at Eastern Creek. :P

How about a cruise to Bobbin Head or Appletree Bay? It is in the National Park (will cost $10/car to enter...) but we can book a picnic spot and there are BBQ facilities. From memory there's enough room to park etc.

Suggested route:

Homebush 6C -> Old Northen Road -> Galston Gorge or Berowra Waters Ferry -> Pacific Highway -> Bobbin Head Road

Another suggestion is to follow the route above with some deviations around the Dural area and end up at Berowra Waters Ferry for a BBQ.

We can have a meeting point somewhere along the route like at Windsor Road and Old Northern Road (basically somewhere there is a big carpark). Someone with local knowledge would know better than I.

i realised i had the wrong dyno day

me bad

there is one this saturday 15th at girraween(silvia NSW)

then there is one on sunday at silverwater (performanceforums)

just change your big day out to sat at girraween and then cruise on around then

I kinda like brendans idea.. Who is keen for that

My idea = Dan's Idea = Dino's Idea ....... We just gotta decide where ????

I don't give a toss where, as long as there is Cruzing and BBQing action.......

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
    • They have said food will be limited. Mainly meat pies and sausage rolls from memory. But they have a coffee van!
