I have a mate who is selling a garret GT30r interally wastegated turbo. it has a .63 exhaust housing .7 front and a 560hp rating. I was wondering what power this would make and how laggy it would be on a rb25 that has fmic, powerfc, fuel pump and 550cc injetors as i am thinking about buying it.

thanks

I'm about to do the exact same thing

I have 96 model with fmic, full exhaust, intake, PowerFC, Fuel pump

Just got a VG30 exhaust housing (.63) to put on a brand new GT30 Compressor and core.

Should be at full boost at about 3500rpm.

All I need is injectors.

What kind of injectors do you have? Are they high or low impedance?

need more info is it modded internal...?

if not 560hp turbo on a rb25det will be very laggy!  "est boost at 5-6rpm maybe".

a GT30 with a .63 rear housing will be on by 4000rpm

My advice would be aim for a .82 rear as a .63 will make it very "snappy" comnig onto boost which isnt good for traction

Matt, why do you have an RB25

I had a GT30 o.82 rear on an RB20 and it had full boost by 4200rpm. Boost by 5 or 6 is bullshit. Id give the 0.63 a miss and go the 0.82; it'd be well suited to an RB25

saun- what mods do you have? my gt30 has a .63 rear and my rb20 doesn't have full boost that early

hey guys im also about to slap one onto my r33, i was told that it wouldnt be too laggy, about 4000rpm full boost.

if you think 4000 is too laggy... wow...

Mine with a .82 rear is all on by 4200. Stock head that is.

Still have nearly 4000rpm worth to use.

if its any help ive got one on my rb25 , starts making boost from2300/2500rpm and full boost by 3500rpm. so probably add another 500rpm for rb20 maybe.

Edit:

I have just read your gt30 thread.

.70 comp and .63 exhaust housing

That is why your making the power so early. For a moment there i thougt it was the .82 and i was wondering why you were making the power on average 500+rpm earlier than others with rb25.

I had a Tial 35mm external wastegate plumbed into the modified standard manifold. Worked well too, but 0.63 would have been better on the RB20.

it should kick in about 4500rpm and ive seen people get over 260rwkw with the mods you have

my friend has a standard internal rb25 making 343rwkw with a gt35r/106.

its a huge rear housing for a 2.5l engine but it makes 25psi by 4500rpm. i suspect the gt30 with .63 will be at 25 psi by about 3500rpm

Thats got to be harsh on the stock internals....

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
