Oh man, i've got some huge aussie flags... im keen if you are brendanf..rofl.

umm... i'll be cruising up to 6C. We'll be doing Nasho I assume...

Canberra people, meet @ North Beach NORTHERN carpark that breaks off to the left as you drive over the speed humps. If you can find your way to the Novotel North Beach, you'll be right. Just go north a bit more and park...

And if you dont have a 2 way, go get 60 bux and buy one for peats sake. Channel 33.

I might even bring my Wiggles CD where they sing the national anthem...

Adrian.

And yeah the fires have been very bad...see my thread in the Wasteland. Everything's ok now (well in my area anyway) but we have been told not to "relax" or be "complacent" as things could change...but yeah, the worst appears to be over.

Which way will you been heading to the Gong?

Via Campbelltown or Princess Hyw?

This is what I menat by which way are you heading to the Gong!

If you guys are going Princess Hwy I'll come to Homebush. If not I don't wana drive up the Hume only to turn around and drive back the same way!

:uh-huh: Guys, say you wana go Princess Hwy!

Also, some people from Elite Motorsport in Canberra may be coming ;)

Guys i've now got the day off :P and some mates from another car club (www.datnet.org) are also cruising down to the Gong area, although they are extremely organised and also include a free BBQ for lunch.

Info can be found >HERE< i've only been on 1 cruise with them in a mates car around 2yrs ago and had a ball. You guys might want to meet up with them down there as they seem to have everything covered !

If you do then please let me know so i can let the guy in charge know (lives round the corner) so he can prepare the sudden influx of Skylines for the BBQ and stuff.

I'm sure it would be great for SAU to mix with other car clubs not only that but these guys are decent and its also a mix of different cars.

Basically they are all meeting up at Narrellan McDonalds at 10:30am and then cruising down Appin Rd to Port Kembla

ben - i know Jon from datnet.org, is that who you know?

It would be good to cruise down with them, but the meeting is a fair bit earlier. We might just meet up with them down there.

What does everyone else think?

I'm keen to meet as many nice car enthusiasts as poss - Cars Rock ! :D

I think we better decide a way down there too - There's been 3 suggestions so far

1) Princess & Nasho

2) Princess & Fwy

3) Via Campbeltown

Yes, they are all south....

REMEMBER : Double Demerits this long weekend...

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
