The story is in my signature! The one year anniversary of my M Coupe being taken off the road for modifications is next Thursday 25th August. Same night I got booted from WSID after running a ten second pass.

Your signature doesn't really tell a story though, is it near finished or is it still 6 months off?

Almost With You (The Church)

See the chains which bind the men

Can you taste their lonely arrogance

It's always too late

And your face is so cold

They struggled for this opulence

See the suns which blind the men

Burnt away so long before our time

Now their warmth is forgotten and gone

Pretty maids not far behind

Who you trying to get in touch with

I'm almost with you

I can sense it wait for me

I'm almost with you

Is this the taste of victory

I'm almost with you

See the dust which fills your sleep

Does it always feel this chill near the end

I never dreamed we'd meet here once more

This life reserved for a friend.

Are 12's the new 13's???

I reckon it depends if the cars running 12's with slicks or not. On street tyres i think 12's are quick for a street car, definately if its RWD. About 3 years ago i had a VL that ran 13's and all my mates thought that was pretty quick...not anymore. Now there seems to be quite a few cars that run 12's, even high 11's when you go to the drags.

With the times that (new) performance standard cars are running nowadays i dont think it'll be to far down the track that 11's will become the norm...

Hi guys... I still think that 12s are quick. I drive a car that is not supposed to be quick (Datsun 120y). I think people expect certain cars to be fast (skylines etc). Its very common to see street cars doing 12.8 - 13.9 times and most are done on street tyres as well. Back in 2001 my mazda 626 fwd was doing 13.5 @ 108. B)

As technology betters so does our drag/lap times. I want 11s on street tyres so the RB20 in the garage is being forced into the engine bay now. :)

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
