Can Sum1 Plz Help Me!!!!

ok can sum1 tell me whats wrong, my car ran out of petrol while idleing, so i filled it up with jerry cans.

after that it wouldnt go, all it does is start n idles for abt 5 seconds at 1000rpm(with foot flat on accelerator) n then it stalls.

My theory is the airflow metre stuffed up on me n the reason it idles for that little 5seconds is because before i start it i let the petrol pump through n then the pedo through the pipes just run out.

can someone help me

do u let the fuel pump go for abit before for u start it or do u crank it straight away because it wont have any fuel left in the lines so it mightent have enough through yet if you crank it straight up

When my car was delivered to my door it had so little fuel it ran out after ideling for 3 min. Got the jerry can (5 litre one) went to petrol station,got fule and filled car. Car wouldnt start at all, turned out 5 litres isnt enough, so added another 5 and started straight away.

Might be your problem, try putting some more fuel in.

One of my friends had this happen in her crappy old ute.. all the crap from the bottom of the tank blocked her fuel lines.
