i guess it comes down to personal pref on this and it will never get solved ahahha, performance wise ild prob back a r34 aswell, but looks wise i dont think they differ to much, ive come up to r34's from the front and thought they were r33's passin by in traffic, i mean if we were going of a car's year of manifacture to say if it was better or not then is the r33 better then the r32 so on.. i think if ya car looks nice and can sing when it has to it'll turn heads ether way, and give it a few yr's and r34's will be everywere also.. you should just get what you like and not worry about what the rest of the herd is doing baaahhhhh

hey wats so bad abt R33s? all u have to do is juz polish once a week and ur car would look as good as new !! and i believe a stock standard R33 would Blow a stock R34!!

well the R33 back looks more sexy than the R34!! form my point of view

Do some research before you make yourself look silly again.

lol ..... i still believe a stock R33 will still take out a stock R34 ..... coz i knew ppl who drove a stock R33 who took out a R34 .... !! But i dunno whether is it a manual or auto .....

Ive been considering selling my car for an R34. But i dont think i would be able to stand the power downgrade. Only thing i would be wanting to do is fiddle around turning my r33 to stock then dumping the parts on an R34 lol.

I've also seen some average R34's, and then I've seen some (even with a stock body kit) that look pretty sick. I think they at least need a rear spoiler, otherwise the rear looks too square. Just my opinion though.

R34s will be as common as in the very near future, go check the big time import dealers yard and you will see bulk R34s. Like anything, give it time and they too will be cheap as.......

If you cant afford a R34, dont buy one, its quite simple......

there were only a handful of R34s made. R34 started it's production in May 1998 and ended it's life around the '02 period. if u think about it, the r34 was only popular for 2 yrs max, mid 98 to mid 00. after this period, not many R34 was made, making it harder to source compared to R33. Remember, demands for R34 has gone up, therefore it will not be everywhere and will retain it's value well. R34 will be the big mac of all times. i mean look at it, its just beatiful. i personally prefer looks over power, i dont really care for power to a certain degree. aslong i've got enough to cruise, thats all i care. how much power do u want on the road ? this isnt autobarn. In a few yrs the G35 will be everywhere, not the R34.

we all love our skylines but the r34 is not really worth the cost to upgrade from r33 . these are still very similar cars . the extra 20kw of the neo is going to be almost gone by the time you get a powerfc and tune it up .

unfortunetly if you want a real step up upgrade your going to have to look at something else , nissan just dont do sports cars like skyline anymore . unless you like the 35 . which most dont . and NA doesnt do much for me personally

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
