Seems like Will Power did a good job from the highlights I saw this morning, although the move that Nelson Piquet Jnr put on him to take the lead in the 2nd race was pretty awesome.

Look forward to watching the next one in Germany (I think?).

i must say i can't stand nelson Jnr, i dunno why he just looks like a chubby little spoilt rich boy. I can't deny he seemed to be the class of the field though by far. I watched the first race at the pub but we got booted out at midnight so i missed the second one. did anyone tape it?

This series is so cool.

They have a 30HP "boost" button that they can use upto 8 times a race. So straight out of PS2. Brands Hatch probably isnt the best track to show the benifits of a boost button but the concept for increasing overtaking opportunities is brilliant.

Already looking forwards to the next race.

I really like how its all focused on nations rather than individual drivers however it still lacks the excitement of F1.

Over time though im sure it will pickup, can't wait for the EC race coming up ;)

I watched the coverage on channel 10 and it was great to see something different, and those guys are definately hungry to make an impressions....its a refreshing change from F1, partly becuase there were plenty of cars on the grid ;)

But Aus were dead lucky to come second.....France, GB and NZ were definately faster but FR and GB had engine troubles and had to drop out. NZ were unlucky, couldn't start the warm up lap and had to start from pit lane, but still ended up fourth. Also great drives from Malaysia and the Netherlands.

I didn't catch the full coverage (so perhaps this may have already been explained), but what's the go with lapped cars?

I could have swore the Pakistan car was 3 laps down towards the end of the race, yet he was swerving all over the track to defend his position from the car behind which was trying to lap him. I'm sure this went on for a good 5 laps...

Surely he's supposed to get out of the way???

yeah amazing how those guys raced, esp since it really made it very difficult for NZ and whoever they were racing (mexico maybe?)

they should have been given blue flags for sure but I guess that over enthusiasm is a great part of racing like this, also British F3....makes for good racing :)

Hehe... Malaysia and Netherlands had good drives because they had ex-F1 drivers... lol! Yoong and Jos.

Piquet Jnr was a class of his own. No wonder Williams is keen on having him onboard.

I'm really keen to go!

didnt make it to the F1 this year and Indy's not looking good either, so I'm very much wanting to make it to this.

my best friend went to Brands Hatch, said it was the best race he's ever been to..

He should NOT be given the drive.

Its a farce. But it seems he's not the only Son of a World Champion being given a drive simply because his dad runs the team. Niki Lauda's son doesnt seem to be doing much better for Austria.

But if Will Power doesn't drive for the rest of the season then I hope no-one sponsors these knob jockies until they decide to take it seriously.

I dont like C Jones or his father! both tossers... but thast my opinion :)

I think after the first sprint race they should of swapped over to Wil Power, unless they were having set up issues where it wasnt Cj's fault but i doubt that!

    • They are in fact just nozzles. They are there only to produce a spray pattern and limit flow. The injector itself is what I use to control flow to the 7x nozzles. My old system had no injector and only PWM the pump. This lead to a lot of inconsistencies, and poor atomization at low pressure when the pump was ramping up.
    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.

    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!
