on the m1 near narangba, damn it was like a mini tornado came though.

big 1m wide trees snapped in half etc.

hope everyone was lucky enough to avoid hail like me.

good fun day, nice to meet some more peeps

mick

saw all the debri from the mini tornado ..just got the heavy rain ..and some ass hole in and old merc owes me half a set of brembo pads and some clutch for breaking down and causing the usual coast home run bunfight

until then it was just a great day ..thanks to the organisers from me and family.. the stagea also enjoyed it :O

The whole thing was pretty good for the size of the cruise. Just 2 things we might have to implement for the next one.

** workshops that brings car to advertise there ware should contribute a sizable donation and in return, get to set up table and hand out promotional brochures at designated points.

** ppls need to wear a tag of their nick, as I got tire, after the 100 time I asked ppls what their nick is after talking to them for 5 mins.

just a thought.

Had a great day

nice to see the old crew out and of course to meet some new faces :O

a BIG thankyou for Erin and the SAU Execs for organising such a great day ... kudos to you.

Also thankypu to all those who donated for the Kids, I'm sure it will be very much appreciated.

Now bring on the pics ....

Managed to get thru all the twistys before the rain hit. But shit a brick! I've never seen anything like that. After dropping my mate off I couldnt get back on the gateway as the on ramp was flooded. And then I took the longway, that was almost as bad. And I am going to systimatically kill one by one every single 4x4 owner in existance that drives their 4x4s on the road. They are stupid in the wet. I got drenched by one because they couldnt drive safe like every other car on the road, just 80kmh thru a 30cm deep half flooded road. I want them to die!

Anyway, good day other than that. Good to catch up with everyone, REALLY good amount of money rasied. Blitzed last years efforts. And also beat NSW apparently with the car count.

Excellent day, and that's coming from the missus. We really had a good time meeting some of the peeps I am always talking about, and Reagan my 7 week old seemed to enjoy (sleep through the bouncy roads.

Was good to be able put a few more faces and cars to names. Excellent turnout.

Big thanks to Erin and the rest of the execs who made this day possible. Their hard work and professionalism made this day a worthy event.

Look forward to a bigger and better cruise next year.

Cheers

Pete

Yeah BAZ033 and I left Summerset dam early, it pissed down when we got to Wivenhoe dam and could hardly see a 1m ahead, and on the Warrego hwy, a car had aquaplaned into the some trees down the ditch in the centre of the hwy :)

Was a good cruise, only problem was some of the roads weren't coilover friendly especially that bridge in progress (my neck still hurts)

Can't wait till the next one :O

Had a bloody great day!!

Good to see so many machines in the one place

Erin and gang, thanks for your efforts – well done!

I went home via Ipswich – what a mistake that was….

Nothing like driving directly into a storm from hell.

    • Thank you, 100% the intent. New coils were due and the 17" sixers look/feel loads better than the stock wheels. The aero options are so spot on.   Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
    • 98 r34 gtt Been rocking my latest setup and car running like never before. Have put a good 200 miles on it since all the latest changes and additions. everything is dialed in and have been driving it a bunch.   However, all a sudden last weekend as soon as I pushed throttle passed 4k and the engine stumbles, (slow or fast acceleration) hesitates and doesn’t go above 4100 or so, like a misfire. Everything else seems fine. I had a “good” set of coil packs that I removed from car when I first got it when I changed them over to new coils. I swapped out current ones for those, but no change. I also changed the plugs, no change. Seems to rev over 4 when out of gear with no load just fine no “misfire”, but as soon as its in gear with a load of any kind, it “misfires” as soon as rpm drop back below 4 k it runs perfectly, smooth, starts, restarts and drives fine as long as I keep it below 4 k while in gear. All readings look fine, no CEL   Any idea as to what could all a sudden cause an issue when pushing rpms passed 4 k?
    • When you say your cams are 272/262 is that 272in and 262ex?
    • We're arguing semantics. I am saying 45 accel and a 55 deccel ramp are "2 ways". Even a 45 degree ramp and an 89 degree ramp is "2 ways", because it is literally... two ways. The cusco 55/30 ramp is a 2 way. It's two ways. I get it though - in normal nomenclature a "2 way" would be 45/45 or 55/55 or 60/60 i.e the same locking in both directions. And something like 45/65 would be considered "1.5 way". I would then say if we're getting into the nitty gritty then every locking diff is a "2 way" diff and we should not speak in 1.5, or 2 ways but ramp angles instead. Which ofc if one of those ramp angles is 90deg, that side is not doing any locking. :p So Nismo don't obviously sell 3 things. The fact of the matter that they only sell two items really goes to show that there's a 2 way and a "1,5 way" which is really a 1 way. I believe the actual lockup for the 'adjustability' of the GT pro is really just setting preload for when the ramps actually start locking up. It's not changing how much 'wayness' there is. It is (somehow) horribly explained. People just buy whatever diff and go "locks up good bruh" and that's what ends up on socials forever.
