"The R-33 is widely regarded as the most practical GT-R for use as a daily driver, but it lacks the excitement of the R32 or R34" <_<

This was the quote from the "Feral Hun" review the other day.

As I am looking for a 'daily driver' but would prefer an R32 for styling reasons I am looking for any comments by protagonists on either side of the argument.

In other words - anyone out there using an R32 as a daily driver ?? Or should I spend an extra $10 grand and go for an R33??

:) Wouldnt u buy the car according to your own preferances/tastes?

If having an R33 is more practical for you then it would be better, but i cant see how much more an R33 would be practical to a 32......10k worth???

If u prefer the 32 go with it and save urself 10k!!!

Think what u could do to the 32 with that 10k ;)

All the best!

Just quickly - don't expect that you'll be "saving" $10K when you buy an R32 GT-R. 99% of them going around it seems needs an immediate $10K spent on them to get the engine running soundly again.

But as far as practicality goes I can't see any difference. I think they are all non-practical for a daily driver! lol

Did they forget that the 33 broke that Nurginburd ring ( <--spelling ) record back in 1995 i think!

All gtrs are nice, easy daily driving well unless you're planing to run 400kw@allfour otherwise its all good.

get a 33, as snow said.

most 32's the motors are tired.

33/96 model or there abouts should still be fine for a good 4-5 years if treated nicely before replacement bits start to be needed.

most 32's are just flogged. The updated 33 is better for many reasons.

- yeah.. fix it so that it's running like it should!!.. :P.. just stirring..

Personally - drive each - work out what you want.. most R33's will not need many repairs.. meanwhile you could end up with a R32 that's in need of some engine fixes..

cost will probably end up being closer - don't forget a 33 will be almost 7 years newer than an R32.. that's quite a bit of time and possibly lot less km's..

    • Also playing with fire if they start to flow more air down low than what the stock twins can. It's not even up top you need to worry, it can be at 3000rpm and part throttle and it's getting way more flow than it should.
