Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a stock skyline R33 GTST and curious to know the average fuel consumption. I know these cars are not designed for optimal fuel consumption, but im trying to convince my other half and i need all the help i can get!! :)

I currently drive a BMW 318is and im ready for the power increase hahaha.

I realise the fuel consumption more than likely willnot be as good as the BMW, but obviously, a 6cylinder car never is compared to the 4 cylinder BMW.

Any help would be greatful.

Thanks

Mines horrid for fuel... and its stock, i think it may be tuned by a previous owner to run rich....?

Anyways, i use only 98 octane BP Ult and can get about 300 - 350kms of easy driving to a full tank....

Keep it on boost a lot and it chews it like a sumbitch...

Pretty much all skylines run rich from the factory. My stocker R32 dipped to 11:1 AFR on the dyno. REALLY needs to be tuned. But the $$$ :)

Been keeping a fuel log for the last 6 months. Stock I was getting approx. 12.5lt per 100km. After mild mods (exhaust, boost controller, r34 cooler, safc2) I'm averaging approx 13.2lt per 100km. That's not granny driving either but certainly not going hard.

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
