Hi Guys

Looking for opinions and options for rims for R33 GTR.

Please post some pics - and any advice is appriciated.

I really like the R34 GTR rims on the R33GTR's - except I dont like the way they dont fill the guards - I guess spacers would fix this but I just dont know if spacers are a wise move.

Just looking at some options guys.

Thanks Again.

Daniel

i don't know but i do want your 33 GTR rims when you get new ones

whatever you get i think 18X9.5 and around +18 offset will look nice. TE37s are pretty hard to beat.

R34 rims look great on 33's especialy white but still dont fill the guards you need 20 mm spacers , the 34 rims are the same offset as the stock 33 ( +30 ) . If you buy aftermarket rims in 18x10 you need 17 offset and they will feel the guards 100% to the edge .

If you need a picture to see let me know and i'll dig one up for you from my old 33.

That would be great mate if you could post pic - thanks heaps. Also wrxhoon is there any issue with spacers - are they safe to use.

Hey Dan - long time no speak. Car is not purchased yet - started looking this week. Looking for a series 3 r33 (white or platuimum) or a LM edition 96. Expecting to purchase in Jan.

Dan have also always been a fan of the Nismo LMGT2's

WHat colour car is this lovely new baby of yours?

rule of thumb the darker the car the shinier the wheels :-)

hi DAN,its me again. what about those NISMO LM GT4s?? they look really nice, i know its hard to find something like 18x10 or somthing with 17 offset.

also like someone else said, TE37s( gold or black) look good as well.

ill get somewheels once my car gets compliance(if i can afford them). maybe ill post up some pics.

Hey buddy

I was thinking something with a bit of dish for the rears to fill the guards - only problem is every dish wheel i see either looks ricey or shit.

Maybe LM GT4's.......

Need some pics with wheels on cars.

Daniel, I ran the R34 GTR wheels on my R33 GTR and despite looking great, the offset is wrong and they make the car look rather skinny from the back.

After a LONG search for the right wheel for my car, I purchased these Japanese Trafficstar DTS 3 piece wheels in 19 x 10 and couldnt be happier!

Mateeeee..... now thats how you dress a R33 GTR - stock , clean and simple... and the right colour as well.

Yours wheels look great, now thats what I'm after - like that or similar. I would also like going 19x10.

I had HR lightweight wheels on my old car. They were a five spoke design and the spokes came out slightlt wider than the rim. I had them in white and I loved them. The HR wheels i used to have but with dish -that would be my ultimate wheel.

Any more pic of you car??? Engine bay,etc you want to share???

Daniel

Wink

not my cup of tea -I'm not a fan of thoes.

You really can't beat Work Meisters... Has the simplicity and tough look of a TE37 paired with dish.

And if you like white:

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
