  1. I got done in my billy kart for rolling too fast.
  2. For me watching I was thinking "WTF, they may as well ask any idiot in the street than this bloke, why should I care about his opinion" only to have them exclaim "There you go folks, you heard it here first" as if it was a revelation!
  3. Utterly painful, a massive waste of money. Rapport shouldn't be assumed with the characters. It needs to be earned. It's painful to watch. For example, last night when they asked the bloke with the massive nose as a 007 fan which car he would have, the Maserati or the Aston. They assume you think he is somebody. "There you are folks, you heard it here first" said afterwards. I stopped watching at that point.
  4. I'm also interested in their front pipes.
  5. Exactly, WTF. I could well have misheard (entirely likely ) but I'll see how it goes this week.
  6. Spotted a siver R33 GTR Series 3 in Kingston, had exhaust and rims, women driving it! Spotted a black R33 GTR in Woden coming out of the underground car park.
  7. There's a few R35s getting around Canberra, I spotted one parked on Bunda St last weekend - white.
  8. Members named: GT-R32 & GT-Rr32 Both joined up within a week of each other too.
  9. This is the kind of complete and utter garbage Today Tonight is renowned for, thankfully this kind of advice is legislated against and they copped it, whereas rubbish opinion segments that appeal to people's very low level nature, are not: http://business.watoday.com.au/business/se...90430-aoai.html Further on this topic: http://www.whocrashedtheeconomy.com/blog/?p=412
  10. I've been quoted $1200 second hand fitted and that's as close to joy as I have been. The car still runs 4WD quite well in 99% of situations and the suspension is being fixed from its questionable set up (totally missing some vital arms in the rear that aid traction + some other thing) so I'll see how that goes. A $1k rebuild (if you could find them for that) I think just about any one with a R32 GTR should consider as the cars are getting on in age and kms.
  11. I got mine off eBay recently - the UK. They are fakers no doubt but were cheap and look real enough for me.
  12. Thanks whytry. It's on its way to being sorted. I'd say my mate's RX7 makes a bit of torque, once boost is added to a rotary they make gobs of it. The power band is actually extremely similar to my car!
  13. The car is missing/need replacing a whole heap of things, namely some arms in the rear which aid traction. $1200 later and we'll see how that goes (parts are on order now - front and rear end). If it doesn't work I'll move onto the transfer case replacement.
  14. $1200 second hand fitted. I'll see how the suspension changes I'm doing make and go from there, which are costing me that too.
  15. I would... But I just spent enough on 255/40/17 Toyo T1Rs that grip extremely well in my mate's 300+rwkw RX7 (the latest dyno tune and reading is higher than quoted above with mph to back it up and VBOX tune also - this car is on the cover of Fast Fours June issue), holding second gear and even third wholly in the wet. But in my car they are near useless in the same gears!
  16. They're helping me out with this but it appears no one in Canberra has rebuilt these things before. A second hand one is an optioon but risks the same problem. I'll play it by ear and decide. Thanks everyone.
  17. Great post Erol, I'm sure we all learnt something from that.
  18. Sorry it is still left foot if you're driving a LHD car, as the peddles remain the same. But I appreciate the comment. And concur with your further comments. The suspension is hard, but as a20089 says not hard enough at these power levels particularly with these tyres to cause issues.
  19. It's gotta be clutches in mine. So rebuilt is preferred.
  20. Yeah that's what I meant, sorry.
  21. Well, I reckon my transfer case is near rooted. I'm wondering if any one knows where you can get one of these things rebuilt in ACT? They seem to be around ~$1k in other states. Any one had this done?
  22. Sorry it's running some camber - unsure how much. Spring rates again unknown . As per Japan basically... ie. no idea LOL. Pretty sure it's the transfer case, like Risking said just slipping under load. Rebuilt for under $1k I would be happy, cs! I'll struggle here for that I reckon.
  23. I guess it's time to work out where I can have these things rebuilt in ACT. Thanks for ramming the point home. I get it now.
