  1. I can't believe you're making that power with stock AFMs! Autronic would be a sweet choice then.
  2. Yeah they are a sweet ECU. The amount they can do is just awesome. The PFC will do me for now though. You need more power Kat?
  3. A properly set up and tuned for Water Injection system would be perfect for you. I've seen rotaries run on 91 fuel at 20+psi boost. Water cools the engine combustion internally - where it matters.
  4. Looked like it had a tidy set up on it, the Autronic also very nice.
  5. Spotted Julian's car there on Monday! Along with another grey R32 GTR being tuned by Ed. Can't wait to book my car in for clutch and tune after the exhaust is done.
  6. Did you not see what I did there?
  7. It's because you didn't expect it! I reckon 9.11s in the rear end would give you a great torque multiplier and the push back in the seat feeling?
  8. I didn't think their were, but one recently advertised said that it was a late model version and I assumed it was like how various other trim parts and connections for the intrumnet cluster etc are different.
  9. A seriously comprehensive list. Close the thread now.
  10. Sorry about all the defects . How loud are these cars being done? And even fined?!!
  11. An extremely good reference for water injection (worth while spending time reading the immense amount of information): http://www.riceracing.com.au/water-injection.htm Great kits also. Proven performance and reliability on a fragile engine on pump fuel (rotary), also plenty of RBs running 140+mph on street tyres and pump fuel with this kit and tuning advice, many of these kits make their way overseas.
  12. A lot of this talk is merely a relative experience and response in the user. Unless you actually measure the Gs using a VBOX or similar this thread is just full of subjective talk. The Gs at any point are of course simply a reflection of power or power to weight.
  13. Between the R33 and R32 is a matter of taste. They are very similar cars underneath (and in build). I prefer the size, handling, interior and exterior look of the R32 and hence that is what I own. I've had both. The only thing is for carrying people in the rear the R33 has a longer wheel base and therefore more leg room, but I prefer the shorter wheel base of the R32 for driving reasons anyway. Both are great cars.
  14. For anyone else interested: Steering wheel, bonnet 'S' & boot 'GTR' badge are sold.
  15. Heal on the floor when engaging, smooth small movements at grab point. Some people take longer than others to get used to it. Don't worry, you will get used to it . I've had pig clutches for years, daily driven, so nothing bothers me much any more.
  16. As above. After a neat, original wheel. I have one it's just a touch tatty so would like something less worn. Cheers, Matt
  17. Good post. With a bit of searching I found the original advertisement for my car in Japan - this was after I bought it. When it arrived in Australia, prior to compliance, the owner had 44,000kms wound out of the clock. The car is so modified it matters little, but still. It now is showing 105,000kms, but in reality has close to 150,000kms. He also told me it had a R34 block but it doesn't just the covers, I really hope it's been rebuilt, given it's been running 1.45bar through HKS2530s for 5yrs. Saying that, the plenum is in good shape! The seats are in good shape (no tears etc), the body has no hits, there was basically no dints in it at all, every single thing in the interior works, so it does demonstrate that even cars which appear nice in and out can have had a wind back. Check interior as said above (pedals/seats/carpets/mats/steering wheel etc), definitely check engine compression and of course suspension bushes and the like. If all of that is decent, who cares what the clock says - it is merely a number .
  18. I've made this decision in the past and owned all (in effect) except the Evo. I had an 02 Monaro since 11,000kms on it. Made 250rwkW, had brakes/suspension/wheels/tyres/engine modifications. Essentially the same as the Clubsport regardless of minor differences and body shape and specification. Build quality (plastics and parts like seatbelts etc) is low and I found it frustrating. Driving position, seats, steering not involving. It has a great engine, sounds good and goes well, even handles well for its size. But they are heavy on fuel. But very reliable. I got over it pretty quickly, the quality is lower and they not in the same league as Japanese cars. GTR. I've had two. Great cars, if they do need maintenance given what they are and their age, it can be costly - but not expensive. I would never class GTRs as particularly expensive this day and age. They are extremely reliable and quite practical (4 seats, reasonable size and a boot). Not too bad on fuel either. Can be made into a daily driven rocket with few modifications. The Clubsport can be the same, but will never be as fast as a GTR on the street, they are simply too heavy and limited by traction (I have mates with 500rwhp versions - up to sane speeds a stock GTR was faster). Evo. I nearly bought one. Practical, reliable, fast. They are not made as powerful as either of the above as easily. But they are a great bit of kit. With a Evo 6 you will notice that they are somewhat 'tinny' given what they are based on. Quite a raw driving experience however. I drive a GTR every day now and love it. I wouldn't consider an Australian built car for a regular driver again (we have plenty of muscle cars in the family and I have old yank stuff still), but I would consider an Evo. It does everything I need it to and then some. Reliable as all shit, despite being tuned for 1.45 bar. However I accept there is a risk on the seemingly original 150,000km engine and abuse it at all (it may have been built in Japan when mods were done).
  19. To be honest I never gave it a hard launch! I've been respectful to this car given it's 20yrs old. But the way you describe its engagement it sounds like it.
  20. Welcome Scott
  21. Got some now, thanks all.
  22. Hi All I remember someone on here said they had one, let me know what you may or may not have. After an aftermarket / larger than stock front pipe. - Matt
  23. KMs to me just seem genuine which is great. If I was looking for a R33 I'd be all over that rare beast! There's nothing like having a rare and interesting car.
  24. Thanks mate After I painted them I saw those rims and wish I did them flat like that! Unfortunately I can't find any red stickers to match it up though. I ended up getting the older style white ones. Eventually they, along with centre caps, will go back on.
  25. Why does it have a fuel rail in there? Given it's unmolested?
