Looks pretty custom to me (the fit and welds). Looks nice. Like you say brand of mufflers used would potentially be embossed on the top of them as they often are.

Mine's seen up to 21psi through HKS2530s since last year. All good so far - touch wood! Similar situation and mods as you. I'm the same, revs are kept low barely nudging 7k rpm and only occasionally. Enjoy.

I've had/have 4 different Jap brand of performance, modified and classic car, 4 60s/70s yank muscle cars and a modified '02 Monaro for a bit of a mix of various styles and era totalling 30 different cars now and counting! I love them all for different reasons, you just keep some closer for sentimental reasons. Life is about experience and enjoyment and it comes in various forms, if you're a car enthusiast it applies to this also. To narrow your mind is only to miss out. *Group hug*

So I'm going to paint my GTR this year or early next, since I'll have a work car. I'm thinking of painting it midnight purple rather than the usual Gunmetal. Any one have any further pics? I've seen most of what's in this thread and some others from searching. Still considering between MP1, 2 or 3 (yes I'm aware of the costs). Thoughts and pics appreciated.

20B rotary sounds similar to an inline six due to firing pattern. 4 rotor sounds like a screaming little V8!

I had shitty Nexens and a rooted traction rod and even when the Toyo T1Rs I replaced the Nexens with it still had traction issues. All good now that the Toyos have worn in and the suspension has been fixed - this forum lead me to believe it might have been the clutches in the centre diff at one stage, potentially it might be getting a touch tired as the car has 100k kms on it and is old, but there is no issue now at all.

He may not be an engineer as all this info can be found on wikipedia, also it's quite commonly known the awesomeness that is the sound and inherit smoothness and balance of the Straight Six!

I think Richard would perhaps disagree with the whole 'add 1L' thing anyway, but his post means you still only add 1 extra litre to what is normally required in the car in question. Not 2 LOL.

That's what's in mine. Nice to drive, great bite and shift feel when working but a touch noisey. A few years old now and needs to be rebuilt or replaced as it can't handle high boost in high gears and is getting worse. I'll be replacing it and am now considering what with, so it's certainly great to read this thread right now.
