  1. If it doesn't fit in with the prejudice they ignore it and continue pushing their agenda.
  2. 'Producer | Today Tonight' is synonymous with 'Wanker' and certainly 'Fatuous' (the irony is the half wit wouldn't even know what that meant LOL).
  3. F355 is one of my favourite sounding Ferraris, absolutely love them.
  4. All this does is prove to me that the idiots at Channel 7 pushing this shit actually believe it! For a while there I thought they were just evil, taking advantage of the most simple people out there, running the pathetic stories they do. But now I realise, they are just as stupid as their average viewer! Amazing.
  5. Put it down to the grey brigade owning MGs. The last thing people like to see is young men obtaining any form of status or attempting to, especially when it involves a perceived risk (which is what men to do raise status). It's just a reflection of individual prejudice. Good email Sharon.
  6. Yeah! And that bloody R35 GTR thing isn't even a Skyline! It doesn't belong here!
  7. Because MGs are slow cars. Not performance cars. Porsche is a valid question, so is Ferrari or anything expensive and fast. Both are owned by people who like fast cars. For example, on ABC news here this week, following the 'AutoItalia' event where they showed Ferraris on the news, they showed one giving it a hit on the grass spinning the wheels violently like it was a good thing along with others revving engines. Would they show a Skyline doing that? Only in negative light, to be sure. The reason is society's pressure on this issue is aimed at a perceived lower status male which is a reflection of individuals as part of sexual selection who also seek to put down such males, 'hoons' are seen as just that, relatively cheap cars and young idiots - low status males.
  8. Good post - thanks. A bit of investigating into what caused this rubbish is this bloke's engine number changed and the engineer re-did the whole car as he refused to just change the number! The engineer said it had to be done as some rules had changed (Dickson had no issue with the certificate just the number). So there you go.
  9. Beautiful engine bay , amazing dedication. It'll all be worth it when done, you chose the perfect car to do it too, absolute classic!
  10. Awesome car , get some pics up so people can answer your questions and others (me) can take a look haha.
  11. Thanks so much!
  12. As above, I am after an airbox for a R32 GTR. I currently have pods and would consider a trade arrangement if the 'box includes filter. Located in Canberra, happy to pay for postage of course. Please let me know. Cheers
  13. Hey Billy, great post and nice to hear it from the relevant person. Keen to see how it goes and looks with the different tyres and 19s.
  14. If you do your homework you'll find a well maintained GTR for a good price. They're more reliable than people give them credit for I reckon. I've seen R33 GTRs for $18k at dealers! Mind you it was a short term thing to get rid of stock and they all sold but there are bargains out there if you can stretch it a little. Good luck either way, the GTST looks quite nice.
  15. Personally for that kind of coin I would buy a real GTR. But that's a personal thing.
  16. You get an entry into the competition to win a Motor Enthusiast holiday I think too. Check out the website
  17. x2 about not saying anything, I could say a massive amount. I highly recommend Ray Spence.
  18. If you have a Dendy around? I saw it, was definitely worth watching. Great movie and nice to see one about our passion.
  19. My GTR has 270-300+rwkW (depending on boost) and has done so for the last 30,000kms or more. It's not a worry at all.
  20. It makes basically no sense like you say, the same ADRs are referred to and it was legal at the time it was done. So there should be no reason for it to change. I basically don't believe it and will be calling Monday, but this was the quickest way to see if anyone had heard anything since he told me Friday night!
  21. I had a mate tell me there is a 'new format' for engineers certificates. Basically that Dickson Motor Registry won't accept the old format at all and instead make people get a new one and go through the procedure as if they are just starting out. To me it sounds like total crap, considering the ADRs are as they are, but he then gave an example of a certain car the he 'knows' had it happen (not a Skyline). Anyone heard of anything similar?
  22. That's the best thing to do. Chris in the office there is a champ. I used to work for Shannons. When it comes to insurance, particularly at a domestic level, it just depends on who you get on the phone, it's unfortunate but true.
  23. Can someone please do mine? BNR32002505
  24. Sorry Leewah - they are sold. And far too cheap too! But the bloke I sold them too was a champ so all good
