Well I had a fun day. Shame about the wet weather on the way home but now I can say I've at least done half of the GOR. I'm glad I got my hands on a CB. Much better when you know what's going on. Al. Yeah it does. You can have bigger than 18in. They will have to be skinny and sit well into the guards.

Hey mate. Anything less than 8in wide looks way to skinny. 33's will easily fit 8in front and 9in rears with an offset in the 30's. Have a read of this thread and see what some people are running. Nobody likes skinny skylines. Fat is better! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...0&start=360 BTW. GTR rims are 9in wide so you should be safe with 9's however I have heard that staggers rims are not legal. ie. 8in front 9in rear. I've always run staggered rims on my car and never even given it 2 thoughts.

Just make sure you have good newish brake fluid and decent pads.

They will stick out the guards by heaps. About +25 to +40 is ok for a 33 GTSt. Are you from the states?

Winton have a sprint round coming up September 7th. There is a vicdrift day on the day before as well so it might be worth a weekend trip!

I was up there last sunday for the 2nd and 3rd race at Winton. It's a good place for viewing. Only that there weren't enough big screens. Support catagories were good too.

Thanks mate. Just from looking at the rims on my car now it seems that the rim is already out of the guard a bit which is why I thought a bit of a flare would be needed. I'll see how I go. White looks good. Might be up for a bit of powder coating too! Did you ever have the car lower than that pic? Did you ever do track work with that setup?

Yeah 20 now. Further out is a smaller number. That's a pretty aggresive offset! Did you need the spacers to clear the suspension?

Any thoughts on R33 GTR rims (17x9) on a 32 GTSt? I have a set and they fit fine with stretched 215/45/17 rubber. I am planning on using them as track wheels so I can run 235/40/17 RE55's all round and rotate them. I'm expecting to need to flare the guards a bit but i don't mind that. Might even buy fibreglass front guards that are wider. I'm a bit concerned about hitting the suspension. Has anyone had this combo before with wider width rubber? thanks, Russ

Haha it wasn't in the traffic on the fun day. That time was on the sprints on sunday. 12 on the track at a time. Dane. You'll be back soon I hear so you'll be knocking me off soon! I really love the track and I'm sure there is still some time in it with my current setup. Can't wait to go back with a warmer track. It was freezing all day.
