  1. If there's a flat machined surface for the idler you are all good.
  2. There are tonnes of threads on here about your very questions. The lack of oil and water is not a concern, it's the lack of a spot to easily mount the idler.
  3. I could be wrong, but that cranking compression seems pretty high for 9:1 pistons.
  4. Parallel doesn't matter though, it's the fact it moves 90 from the closed position. The flap could still be on strutted y a shit flange, or the rerun merge of the waste gate pipe could be horrible.
  5. In this order. To eliminate other things Take off air con belt. If noise still exists look elsewhere! Replace idler. It's easy. If noise still exists then it sucks to be you!
  6. Cos yu move the lever the flap is directly attached to.....
  7. Oh, rb30 means I waste spark required as the distributor takes care of that.
  8. It would have to be a waste spark and batch fire Injector setup as it doesn't know ow which cylinder is on the power stroke.
  9. Man, how many tests can you run on a leaky top radiator hose?
  10. Wow, this thread has turned into a personal growth thread! We can all get something out of it.. Here's another story. Yesterday, whilst at work so it technically not my time I was wasting, I was googling away to find part numbers for diff axle seals ( for another car). Couldn't find the side seals in non genuine , only for the pinion. Genuine prices were silly. Went to shop to buy pinion seal, had a brainwave. Asked guy about side seals. He looks in his book and I buy them 30 seconds later. Spent way more time than that looking for the numbers myself for no benefit at all. Need simple car stuff. Just go to a shop and ask them!
  11. Ah, the old car fixed itself.
  12. Nek minute current buyer advertises it for 400
  13. Pm me and I'll give you the lyrics to Boom Shake The Room. It's a good song. Other option is call will Smith
  14. I didn't assume anything. I asked if he went to a shop then you got all butt hurt. Answer me this. Is it hard to get wipers for your car? Cos you are sort of implying that it is.
  15. At no stage did I belittle him. I asked if he has visited a shop. Which from his post I couldn't tell. I then told a tale how I have seen a similar thing happen with searching for stuff online making things difficult, and that going to a shop solves those issues. There's no culture here. I'll try again fresh. How about this response. Hello friend. I see you are in a pickle and are trying your hardest. Might I be so forward as to suggest visiting a shop? you've got a car so I assume you can visit the real world from time to time (humour to make me seem more friendly) There are places can even fit them for you! Your car is special, but some things are just the same as for other cars. For example, including but not limited to, Petrol Oil Tyres Globes Carwash Are typically compatible with your car amongst many others, including wiper blades! There's so much info on here, but not all of it categorised in a simple way, sorry about that. Maybe when yu are more settled in around here you can compile a list of items compatible that no one has asked about. A tricky task but it will be rewarding, I'm sure a person out there would find it slightly helpful. Kind regards, Guy you have no idea about, and can't possibly make an accurate assessment of without assumptions and jumping to conclusions.
  16. Your other thread is going quite well... Buy one of each.
