If it is a very faint 'wooshing' sound, it is most likely the pilot bearing, which is normal.

When I say water pump/alternator belt, I mean the same thing. The belt runs off the crank and turns the water pump AND alternator. Dead water pumps usually just leak, they don't squeal. Over tightening the belt can kill the bearings in the water pump though, so don't overdo it.

As above. 18x10 +20 will fit an r33 gts-t with 235/40R18 and rolled and possibly slightly pumped guards. Will need some camber too. Fronts should be fine with a roll and relocate loom.

Hard to hear, but would most likely be your water pump/alternator belt, which has the most load on it.

Slightly off topic, but what is the average going rate for a pair of good condition (no tears or rips) R33 GT-R seats? I'm looking at a set but they're price at like $800 - too much?

Just bought an R34 OP6 turbo to highflow for my R33. Tao, do you include an actuator with your STD high-flow turbos? Or do I need to use the stock one?

Yea I can see your point. I guess a good analogy would be an organ donor: the ability to prevent another's death through a life lost . Showing people the real deal would be more effective than showing some scripted CGI commercial which everyone knows isn't real.

Wish that dashcam video showed the point of impact and aftermath. If anything, would have worked just on shock value to show all the morons and airheads out on the roads what happens when they run reds/don't pay attention etc. Those TAC campaigns show all the gore and shit, and it's all just manufactured to teach people. Using a real example would really hit home I reckon.

Compare an S13 to an R32 for example: Wheelbase: 2474 vs 2615mm Weight: 1224 vs 1320kg So it's a much lighter, and shorter (read flickable) platform, and that's in stock form. Not to mention the McPherson strut of an S chassis is generally easier to extract big camber and lock from. No HICAS to muck around with. Huge aftermarket support. Cheap. Not to mention no boat anchor engine bolted to the front. An SR20 is lighter than an RB20, let alone an RB25. In saying that, there are plenty of guys drifting R32/33/34's

I think the fact that a Nistune "looks factory" is an arbitrary point, I mean how many cops are really gonna make you pull off the kick panel and check out the ECU? And even if you have an aftermarket ECU, I'm sure there are bigger issues you'd be facing in terms of defects (turbo, FMIC, exhaust, suspension etc). I got my PFC for $550 without the controller, which I didn't really need anyway.

Yeh that would help a lot, there are so many conflicting statements made about that turbo. Post up your setup+results to go with it

Doesn't the SS1PU push the exhaust back even further, or has Tao fixed that? Have you had any long-term issues with yours?

OP6 vs 21U housing - do they share the same bolt pattern and distance from flange to firewall? Thinking of buying a blown 34 turbo to highflow to net an extra ~20hp headroom.

What is involved in fitting this? Cut reo?

I was gonna book my car in for a tune @ Chequered next Friday... except now it's forecast to be 39!? Anyone shed some light on a full tune being done on a hot day like that?
