    recently my cars been making a strange tapping sort of sound coming from what i believe to be the injectors or near abouts. it only happens on idle (clutch in or out) seems to only make the noise when warm, and goes away when rev'd or sitting over 1krpm.. it can get rather loud and anoying... sometimes the car sounds like its missing or coughing... any info would greatly help CHEERS

    as far as im aware its standard in new ss2(mine doesnt spin for that long ) but i could be wrong it maybe just the extra option.. i bought mine as a old stock clearance for a steal about 8 months ago PS - this could be the "new version" im thinking of http://www.hypergearturbos.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=72&product_id=67 -- man... id love to do an r34 brembo upgrade like the guy on that blog haha to dream! thats a hell of a r34gtt

    I dont have the new version of the ss2 but if you do one day get a bit bored of it and do want quicker response and a bit more power, im sure stao could easily "up grade it" to the new trim.. for street i dont think itl nessasery

    you right in the ball park with power figures for the setup you have got, i think youl enjoy the turbo. everyone who rides shotgun in my car loves the punch it has when it kicks in dyno graphs when you can! good luck with it

    its just cable tied to the car in those photos and the ones on the floor are as is right now, never put it on because i went a different route, its 7/10 quality have been quoted 120 roughly painted and fitted cheers. jake

    looks great tony, cant argue with those massive improvements on temps, almost convinced to replace my oil cooler with one. hey on a side note, what front mount are you running? i really cant be bothered searching through 15 pages to find it. cheers mate.. still loving the build as always!

    ^ I just used tirps and 2000grit sand paper and then two coats of primer and 2 coats of paint.. turned out fine.. only getting tiny bubles in the gauge rings. Not very noticeable

    yeah very true, ive done mine in a charcoal grey it looks nice and its a different to the other colors people choose. each to their own... i just personally think carbon fiber is way over used in the ricer scene, hence why i think it looks cheap

    carbon fiber looks cheap and tacky.. just painting it gives it a massive face lift in my opinion. its a day of your time and $15 of your cash its a real no brainer

    ^ always had a soft spot for the old dirty 2's especially in black , not so sure on the retrimmed interior though

    very good. sounds like a good setup to me man all though i think you might be waiting a while... ive heard some standard turbos running 10 psi for years with no troubles... id swap as soon as personally...the standard just doesn't compare.. could flick it off for a couple hundred to put toward something else oh cool so youve obviously changed the wheels in the photo then haha nice.. was going to say doesn't look like you could fit some wide rubber under them guards on those wheels yeah fair call on the stock look... i dont seem to have a problem with the boys in blue.. even with how my car looks, they dont even look twice at me. i guess i have those young p platers driving slammed commonwhores on massive wheels with a super cheap auto exhaust tips to thank.. cops looooove picking on them, takes their eye away from us imports

    lol nothing like a boost addiction haha... my NA friends just dont understand.. yeah man take it easy on the boost.. my old standard turbo hated anything over 10 (only ran it once to see how it would respond) which lip did you end up ordering btw? got a link? next thing on list of to do's... change them horrid orange indicators nice set of clears would tastefully make the car pop a bit more what size wheel/tyre are you running man they look massive!

    Yeah I wouldnt drive it untuned... or if you have too I wouldn't hit more then 3k rpm as well as not driving very far Have a look around for cheap tow.. or maybe even see if someone on here has a car trailer you can flick some dosh their way. Good luck either way mate itl be fun when its in!

    hey mate, just want to say yours is the only red skyline Ive actually liked...so well done.. i normally don't like red on cars period im running a simmilar settup to what your looking at... 720cc injectors/z32/nistune/atr43ss2 and im making 265rwkw at 18 psi but have a top end restriction so once i sort that out il be seeing closer to 300 its a great turbo man... lose a little bit of response but it kicks you in the face when it hits... as for the intake pipe i would seriously consider getting that replaced with a metal one at anything over 220kw (from past experience) cheers man. keep working hard.. gtt master race mate! +1 sub
