  1. haha! I thought of that but i would hate some turd to merge into me and say they could not see me changing lanes safety first! i will look for the stock icky ones at a wrecker
  2. Fantastic results. I bet you are really happy with it. that would be a lot of fun on long twisty roads I am amazed at how well RB20's cope. Have you done anything to the crank to drive the oil pump? that is a lot of revs for the stock pump otherwise. If you could, please post this on the sticky in the forced induction for RB20's. Cheers
  3. Hey all. one of the lenses came off my crappy orange side indicators and i can't find a replacement. i really do not want ricey clear ones. just want to keep it looking stock. can anyone tell me where to get one? Thanks!
  4. I parked in the front yard last night and all was good untill I go out to the car at 6:45am to go to work... 3 hours later 1 foot of mud deep and the car almost sliding into the hole in the front yard. I called my wife home from work with a freind, a 4wD and tow rope I was covered in mud and it looks like someone had a demolition derby in the front yard... here are the pics for a laugh. as you can see the boards under the tyres gut buried nearly a foot deep the bottom of the car was dragging on the mud when we towed it out the wheels just slid not rolled I nearly lost the car in the hole of doom After being pissed off for an hour i had a laugh and went to work
  5. Tell e'm the price son...
  6. Timing looks right and the mixture looks slightly rich but all good apart from the orange buildup:) Try some 7's bob
  7. hey that looks pretty good. I have decided I think i am going to have the whole car repainted Khaki. this color anyone wanna make the car this color for me? leaving the rims silver? Cheers
  8. not a ad idea at all. it will not improve your performance at all but will make your safety margin slightly bigger. will also not mess up your AFR's.
  9. Hi all, This seems to pop up a lot lately and there are some very good points here, and yes the stock ECU is an equal to an aftermarket computer if tuned correctly. For a bit of background, my tunes are not guess tunes nor do i sell them on ebay currently. I found the lack of knowledge from the purchasers to be a dangerous thing. people would buy a tune and then do silly things like upgrade AFM's or put massive ancient turbos on and hope for the best. I am not a wizard and can not guess a perfect tune. all the ones i have done are either done on the dyno with map tracing and wideband and take 2 hours+ to do or are based on a previous tune with the same modifications. for example haysie's car has the same turbo, afm, injectors same size fmic and exhaust as my car. that is why he has had such a good result. his tune was based on mine that took close to 4 hours on the dyno to get perfect. The current seller on ebay decided to buy one of my tunes, copy it and the add that i had wrote word for word. I have decided to take no action and let it run it's course. i have no idea if he knows what he is talking about and don't really care, if he is out to make a fast buck great! the old saying goes "let the buyer beware" and it has a lot of merit when put to this. I am in the process of developing a completely new system for Nissan ECU's that provides a whole swag of features and will be offering it to the SAU community as soon as it is ready. hopefully the whole package will cost less then $250 and provide a remap, a launch control antilag setup and a lockable valet mode if you have to leave your car with anyone. so far it has taken a year to get to a stage that I am happy with it and has cost me 200+ hours, a grand or so and a wife that thinks i like ECU's more than her so I will be charging a bit to cover all my time and effort but like i have said before it is not my job and I am not a professional tuner. sorry fro the rant Cheers!
  10. hey Michele, if he is not helpful it's probably not the best sign. its your money and i would want them to bend over backwards to tell me every single mod done and i would want to see some recipts for all the work done if this one is not right there are scores of fine examples for sale in the forums and can all be had for the same/less money. If it is in sydney get Nathan from Grey Imports to check it out. he is a top bloke and will do the right thing. He is located in Annandale. Cheers!
  11. you wil have lag, lag, lag. you will need a retune 100%. just have your stock ecu remapped
  12. HAHA! gold pure gold...
  13. Take the price list with a grain of salt untill you have a full list of recipts also, WHEN BUYING A gtr it is a MUST to get it inspected by the best workshop you can find. make it a condition of the sale that you get a compression and leak down test. a comprehensive inspection will cost you almost $500 but well worth it if spending that much on a 15 year old car Does this mean the gtst needs a new home
  14. AAAghhh!!! I have a set of there at the moment on my daily driving rims :0!!! that scares me a bit. I do not think they are the best tyre. they are cheap but best left to commodores and taxi's
  15. Nice! very simple and good idea. i was ging to replace mine but will give this a go now
  16. Just a bit of an update... I have just set my exhaust cam gear to -4 deg and added 3 deg of timing between 3200 and 3600 and the car now spools a 2~300rpm earlier. I also have reduced the timing to 18deg from 4200 to 6000 19deg between 6000 and 7200 just to be on the safe side as I am now running 19psi. Going by the fact that I have had to add 13% more fuel from 4000 onwards to keep my AFR's at 12:1 I am guessing I have come VERY close to adding my car to the 260rwkw RB20 thread JEEBUS>>> keep your pants on.... really this thing as BALLS... when running this sort of boost the cam gear really shines and so does the hiflow. I am not going to get a chance to dyno it for at least a month but i don't need to the tune is perfect and it would really only be to confirm a number. I really am having difficulty believing just how well these turbos perform, I was thinking of pulling the RB20 and going a 25 or even 30det but I really like the 20 with this much power.
  17. you can adjust the clutch master feel at the top of the pedal there is a pin going thru the clutch pedal held in place with a split pin. remove the pin, and you can screw the saddle in tighter or looser depending on how u want the pedal... be warned the pin is an absolute bastard to get back in
  18. we have some confusion here. lows_13 is talking about preload shims that go either side of the standard viscous centre and spider gear assembly. Abo Bob is talking about shims that go in a mechanical diff. they are completly different.
  19. I have one fitted to my r32. it holds 240rwkw with no slip and it bites nice and hard. it goes drifting every month and dosent complain it does shudder especially in reverse but having a 2-way dosen't help. you need to slip it a bit to get it off the line nicely. it is fine for day to day. but if i did it again i would buy the jim berry. decent clutch for the price.
  20. hehe if i am lucky i am going for a ride in that V35
  21. still for sale... anyone need em? going in the bin otherwise
  22. OK the gearboxes are still here case o beer gets them both
  23. Slide hiflow FTW... mine is making 240rwkw and is still streetable
