  3. I have tried to contact them 3 times via email trying to buy things and have never gotten a reply. I have nothing negative to say about them except they do not seem to reply to their emails
  4. Phewww.. this is a long read. After thinking about it I have deceded to do a budget RB30 buildup to put in my R32. I have some things i need clearing up before i buy the parts. I am going to use the following RB30E series 2 block with standard pistons, rods, crank RB25DE head from an R32 frontcut (non VCT) This should give me a compression ratio of around 8.3:1 from what I have been reading. The other bits going in the build are: RB25 sliding performance hiflow splitfire coilpacks stock manifolds from RB20 all ancelleries from RB20 FMiC GTR injectors RB20ECU remapped Z32 AFM I know the turbo is really a bit small for the RB30det and it will only nudge 250rwkw. that's fine with me its the torque i am after and I am a bit sick of revving the guts out of the rb 20. Things I need to know: 1. The turbo is designed to run 18psi. is this boost pressure to high? I think it should be fine as the static comp of the RB20 is higher and I corrently run the same PSI on it. The last thing I want is to build it to find out it will not like running high PSI Of course I will be upgrading the valve springs to at least RB20 Items. 2. Will the Cefiro cross member allow the engine to sit low enough to close the bonnet? I do not want to have engine mounts fabbed if i can avoid it. I will be putting the motor in myself but will be having all the assembly done by an engine builder.

  7. I also have an RB20det box that is on its way out. I bought it in so called "excellent condition" I got shafted! as soon as it went in i could tell it was not right. It makes a clutter type noise in 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd epically changing down gears under compression braking. I have rung a few places and got really vague quotes for "about 1200 mate..." I would like to get it rebuilt but what sort of price is reasonable? and exactly what gets replaced? Cheers
  8. I spoke to the guy for over 2 hours him knowing very well that i had just bought a new clutch. he is not just in it for the money. he builds clutches for rally and v8 supercars... some with carbon fibre plates. he knows what he is doing and for what you get it is the best value i have found.
  9. this can also happen when the rom is not seated in the cradle in the stock ECU (only if you have a remapped ecu)
  10. the rubber looks pretty good from memory. I was going to use them and they do not look perished at all
  11. I am just about to upgrade to a 2 way mechanical LSD so my current diff will be up for sale in about a week. Specs: R200 without ABS. viscous S14a LSD centre 3x2 half shafts ratio of 4.3 I will reshim it with a new nissan 1.01mm shim (this will basically act like locked diff) it will be super toit like a tiger. it will feel pretty much like a 1.5 way mechanical. ie: it will clunk in tight corners but will spin both up with ease all for the low, low price of $200 I would recommend taking it to your local diff place and checking the backlash because I will be taking the centre out to fit the shim and i do not have the tools to check it. (should only cost a few bucks)
  12. Hey all. I have a full set of GTR brake lines for sale off an R32. I bought them and intended to use them but have now decided on a different brake setup so no longer need them. selling for $32.50 hey... gotta get atleast $20 for them and express post will be $12.50 Cheers!

  15. I have the exedy... I have met Jim berry and takled to him for a couple of hours about clutches. I would only ever buy one of his clutches from now on. the exedy is OK. it does hold and not slip with 240rwkw but it shudders in reverse going up hill and the friction point is small making it hard to launch, Go the Jim Berry. you will not regret it.
  16. PM Roy. he has one of there on his rb20 with amazing results. he is making around 250rwkw. I have a slide turbo on mine and make 240rwkw. both are excellent choices

  20. hey all Japanese speaking dudes. I picked up a set of 2 peice forged wheels for my car and have no idea what brand they are and even though they fit nicely i do not know the ofset. is there anything you can make out from these stickers? Thanks!
