  2. hey dudes. it looks exactly like a stock rb20det in a stock R32. I will not separate bits because then i will be stuck with things i don't need If the whole lot does not sell I will be putting it all into a stripped R31 and using it for drift.
  3. Hey All, It looks like I am building an RB30DET so I have a whole package deal that will be for sale. RB20DET engine Sliding performance hiflow RB25 turbo Braided oil line GTR injectors 444cc Splitfire Coilpacks Remapped ECU to suit modifications Adjustable exhaust cam gear all you need to bolt it in and make serious 20 power. all parts are 6 months old and still under warranty (except for the engine) There turbos are very sought after and you can not get them anymore and were selling like hotcakes at $1000. This package is a perfect combination and the engine was running stock boost until all the good bits went on 6 months ago. I might also be able to supply a gearbox if needed for extra. in its current tune it makes 240rwkw on 18~19psi. and halls ass... ask anyone that has been in the car the engine will be in there and running for the next 6 weeks while all the bits for the 30det are gathered. please look in the RB20 upgrade results for the dyno sheets if you need proof selling whole package for $3000
  4. it was tuned on the road with a wideband, so no figure. but peak power would have been 4000 rpm. but really anywhere between 3500 and 6000

  6. I had the opportunity to tune an RB30DET today. It was tuned using the factory RB20DET ECU and fantastic results were achieved. the standard injectors and AFM were used. compression ratio was 7.6:1 and i was suprised how responsive it was with such a low ratio. a t3/t4 turbo was used and we were limited to 10 psi due to the injectors. hi silicon pistons for a RB30et were used and the valve shrouds and bowls were cleaned up. The head was an RB25DE from an R32 and RB20det cams were used the install looked factory even down to the rocker cover. there was no lag at all the torque from idle to redline was nothing short of amazing and even with 200~220 rwkw and 3 85kg bodies in the car it's acceleration was phonemanal. the build was aimed as being a cheap and effective street able engine and that it was. this is the owners first turbo car and he was more than happy with the performance and was not after high HP. hunting for the bits like mad now... I have to have one. or two...

  8. Helluva read! I will have another to add to the list as soon as I can find a damn head to use. I will be using an Rb30 bottom end rebuilt to NA specs using all nissan except for king bearings. The aim is to find an RB25DE from an R32 so my GTR injectors, loom CAS, coilpacks ect can be used from my current RB20DET. but i have been ringing around for days and cant fine one anywhere, if anyone knows of where one is PM ME! If I do decide to go with the RB25DE r33 head or DET head has anyone modified an RB20 fuel rail to fit the R33 head so top feeds can be used? I would be getting rid of VCT and running it of my loom and ECU. I am trying to keep the car as stock looking as possible so i dont want any fancy looking bits.
  9. I will be holding on to the hiflow I have for sure I should have bought another 3 of them they are a bit like a power FC now. I will be putting mine on a basic RB30DET that i am collecting the bits for now. it will not make a any more power but should be all in by 2500! Wooo Hooo!
  10. 1. is it turbo or non turbo head 2. does it have VCT 3. how many km's has it done 4. does it have all of the following. valves, stems,rockers, cams, camgears, coils, injectors, covers, CAS, inlet manifold, plenum, exhaust manifold 5. do you have a photo of it I am genuinely interested but need all this information. honestly, if you gave all this information by now it would be sold. thanks
  11. Those are some nifty results simon. what are you doing to control VCT? I can see it it coming on at 100kmph so in 4th with your diff ratio i am guessing that is around 3700rpm? really keen on this as i may be going a 25 shortly and would like to retain my ecu and harness

I hate doing this job. its a pain in the ass without a houst and i never want to do it again. i would rather pay someone else $300 to do it. did it with 2 mates helping me get the old box out and it was easy. getting the bastard back in myself was a different story. the starter buldge gets in the way of the trans tunnel you need to have the box on the spline just and rotate it so the buldge is closer to the ground and then wiggle till you feel it start to go on. then start to jack up the rear of the box and line it up and jiggle it on. try not to drop the box on your arm they are damn heavy.
  14. S12 gazelle notchback with IRS. $2000 CA18DET engine with loom computer + clutch $900 after conversion wind the boost up to 12 psi and you have a 130rwkw 900kg drifter that will be a lot of fun. I have driven quite a few s12's and they are not a bad car.

  16. Hey all, I have decided now the boost is back down to 17psi i no longer need an aftermarket BOV and will be using my stocker again. I bought a BLITZ ss and had a flange welded to my stock R32 intake pipe in a stealth position. going for $100 bux + your stock pipe (you will get mine that is modded to fit the BOV) to get the pipe made alone cost $60 and the BOV cost be over $100. it is a very efficant BOV and is really quiet unless on full boost and then WHOOCCCHHHKA. I can fit it for anyone that is interested. Cheers!

I have a lot of difficulty believing rb20 injectors can flow enough for 327rwhp. regardless of rail pressure. also you do not want to run a rail pressure of any higher thn 60 psi due to o rings and hoses that are 15 years old (44 psi + 16psi boost) even if you did run 4 psi extra rail pressure that is less than 6% more fuel and 270cc equates to 273.5 horsepower at the flywheel then add 6% and you get 289.9 horsepower at the fly wheel at 12:1 afr. then you have drivetrain loss to consider:) I am not trying to start an argument but there are the calculations for you. to keep it simple, 200rwkw is the maximum i would want to run on RB20 injectors!

Thanks Reece! pretty much sorted ATM. target car selected! testing is 90% complete and works a treat. clutch in, floor it the car sits at 3500rpm and builds boost, as soon as you are ready sidestep the clutch and WHOOOSHKA! you are at redline and grab 2nd before you know it. can't wait till i can offer it to others it's a great feature.

Hey ACT peoples I am in the final phase of testing a dedicated launch control system for R32 skylines and I need to test the system on a standard car (or rearly standard) that has either a stock turbo or an RB25 turbo. I would need the car for around 1 day and you would get a dedicated launch control system and I will also remap your car fro you. You will have to however pay the dyno time needed to test the system and have a cradle soldered in your ECU. if anyone is interested please PM me. Thanks!
