CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction

17" Dished 4x114.3 Wheels Super Light
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi Anthony, yes they are still for sale, i just advertised them today and they are 4x114.3 thanks! -
Hey All, I have decided to sell my wheels. I have only had them for 6 weeks and bought them new I am after something wider. they are ULTRALIGHT... and have a good 3" of dish. I have never seen another set and they look super expensive, they are 17x7 and suit silvia, 180sx and non turbo skyline. The tyres that come with then are 215/47/17 Maxxis MA-V1 and were $230 each. the fronts are in new condition and the rears still have heaps of tread but are feathered from spirited driving There is not a single mark on these rims they look brand new. in the dirty pic it is the fronts. the rears are just drift rims the dirt will come off I am after $900 or will consider trades for wider 4x114.3 wheels. located in canberra but will ship anywhere for a bit over $100

Doing a bit of a cleanup and have the following I no longer need 1. 6 Coilpacks to suit RB25DET series 1, RB20DET, RB25DE RB20DE. They are less than 100,000km's old and in excellent condition. they do not miss. only replaced to use splitfires and run 19psi. $100 2. R32 GTR front and rear brake lines. I bought these to upgrade the callipers on my gtst but just bought a set of callipers with the lines already so these are not needed. $20 3. RB20DET standard fuelpump in good working order. I took it out to replace it with a GTR pump. $30 4. RB20DET turbo elbow $20 5. Turbotech boost controller never used surplus to my needs $20 6. 5 GTR injectors wihtout the resistor pack. no6# was used as a spare I do not know the condition of these as i have not tested them. but the 1 i am using is fine. $100 SOLD!!!! all parts in canberra but will post anywhere for cheap. this stuff is just taking up room cheers

Bad News For Me Guys Will Need Advice
CEF11E replied to Italiazr1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
no, a 25/30 will not bolt right into an R32. at least it will but your bonnet will not shut. there is clearance issues due to the extra block height on the rb30 block. you need to modify your engine mounts to make it sit lower cheers -
Geez mate I am so sorry. if the resistors you got were the ones i told you to I read the part number off the packet i thought mine came from and obviously didn't check it correctly. the ones i am using are 6.8 ohm 10 watt and look exactly the same just a different resistance. Don't use the injectors without resistors as you will be drawing too much current from the ECU and will blow the injector drivers. and you can't use 1 resistor for all 6 injectors because it will still be 68omh. DAMN THAT DECIMAL POINT DAMN IT TO HELL!!!! I owe you a few beers...

take off the timing belt cover and look at the markings on the belt. if it is anything but a nissan belt it has been changed. you will find if it was changed in japan it is likely to be a gates belt

Boost Tapering Off At High Revs, Rb20
CEF11E replied to mattysaidso's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you have toe stock RB20 turbo it is not able to supply enough boost pressure at high RPM so it will allways taper off. Bigger turbo FTW -
I will also be moving to melbourne in 12 months and will be buying a house. I was looking in Rosanna, Watsonia, Ivanhoe, Macleod around that area and will have max of $350,000 to spend. Will be looking for a 3 bedroom with garage and in a non dodgy area reasonably close to the city (30 to 40 min) on a train I have heard Heidelberg is a bit dodgy? can anyone tell me a good area to buy? I like older suburbs with nice big trees that are fairly quiet

sounds like a dodgy remap. I have gtr injectors in my rb20 with resistors and it runs fine infact like factory. I remapped the ecu myself but you will find even with the factory map designed to run 270cc injectors the car will start with the gtr items in there clouds of black somke and you couldn't drive it but it will run. Try plugging in your factory ecu and seeing if it will run, if it does you know your injector wiring is correct. if it will not run your wiring is incorrect

Master Cylinder Question R32/33
CEF11E replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just had a look at mine car was originally an 1993 R32 GTS and it has a Tokico BM38. pedal feel is good with the crappy single piston callipers but i am going to have to upgrade it now that gtr32 calipers and 324mm rotors are going on or I am guessing the pedal would hit the floor before lockup -
it's the old find the best tuner you can and then buy what he prefers to tune I am interested in these ecu's aswell but very few people have experience with them yet
-
somewhere between 150 and 400rwkw... really. its a bit hard without knowing the specs. if it has slightly larger compressor wheel and larger turbine somewhere between 220 and 270rwkw
-
anyone else coming? surely we can get 1 more person?

Recommend Me A Cheap Run-a-round Car.
CEF11E replied to Musky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
asking for trouble. if you are going to buy a shitter get one as simple and vanilla as possible so there is less to go wrong. another vote for the KE series carolla. really light, RWD cheap to run and easy to fix. there was one drifting at the last practice day and he was having as much fun as the skyline owners in a $500 car. -
I have an R32 skyline that was non turbo and came with an R200 open wheeler. I bought a centre and halfshafts from an s14 (same as R33) and bolted it in. no modifications required. I used my original crown wheel and pinion to keep the same diff ratios. the NA r32 has 4.3:1 and the centre i bought had a 4.11:1 and the last thing you need with a big turbo RB20 is longer gears = more lag . 4.3 was the shortest ratio i could find so i stuck with that.. The housings are the same just single spinner insted of LSD.

a completly stock GTR will benifit the most from a remap they run ultra rich from factory 10:1 at full throttle and also have a slightyl erratic timing map. you can gain 30rwkw with just a remap and no other changes you will also have better fuel economy and less black crap! My car is the one in the 2nd pick making 238rwkw (now a bit more) and i never get any buildup on my bumper. (it is black already) but if you wipe it no soot comes off:)
