  1. boost no work in neutral
  2. I had one of those sard FPR's on my last car and the pressure was 100% stable.
  3. I installed mine lastnight. The whole process only took 1 hour. this was done on an RB20 so may be different on an RB25. the most difficult thing to do was get the left side bottom bolt of the timing belt cover! I did not have the right length extension bar. I had the nastiest scare i have ever had working on cars. I installed the cam gear aligned the belt and tensioned it. put the CAS support back on bolted the cas back on without the timing cover and started the car. everything fine. i double checked everything and was fine. I checked the base timing and closed the bonnet and took the car for a drive. it felt fine so after a bit of a drive i gave it some stick in 2nd and at 6000rpm I heard a BANG and heard something drop on the road. I put the clutch in and put in in neutral and looked in the revision mirror and almont had a heart attack. There was a GAM GEAR rolling down the road!!! WTF!! the car was still idling fine. i got out and ran after the cam gear and picked it up. that's funny i thought it is the inlet cam gear that has come off (it was non adjustable factory) opened the bonnet and low and behold both gears were still there and bulted securely on. I had made a big cock up. I left the old camgear next to the battery after installing the new one. Anyway. lesson learned... ALLWAYS check for tools and parts before you close the bonnet.
  4. The ECU is just the chip it goes inside your ECU and will replace the fuel and timing maps. it is optimised for new fuel pump but will run fine with your existing pump. Yep the clutch will suit an RB20. it was on a series 1 rb25 but i guarantee it will fit an RB20. as mentioned it comes with flywheel already machined
  5. yes you can clean injectors. you need to take them out and have them cleaned. cleaning will be around $150 but the labor to remove and refit them will be around $300 if you can not do it yourself. talk to your mechanic
  6. yep just looked at the just jap website. just have to keep it in mind :0
  7. why do Tomei, Greddy, Nismo and HKS have markings in going in the opposite direction? not trying to be argumentative...
  8. After installing one of there cam gears i have noticed the Advance and Retard markings are the incorrect way round. please see here for details arospeed cam gear settings this is in an effort to help anyone that is going to self tune. cheers.
  9. Yep but if you look at the cam gear if you moved it to the left the markings would say it was advanced weird huh. as adriano pointed out it is crank adv or retard. still... a silly marking method.
  10. I bought this with my gearbox and did not end up putting it in as I had already bought a 5 puck ceramic. It was fitted to an RB25 that was putting out 300rwkw and was slipping at 300rwkw but not at 240rwkw. it is a full face organic kit. I will include a freshly machined flywheel with it. the clutch only sat behind the RB25 for a week :0 just cleaning up only chasing $150 also have a set of coilpacks to suit RB20DET, RB25DET series 1. excellent condition, came off my engine with 119,000 kms guarantee not to missfire at 13psi. $100 Remap for RB20det with the following mods. RB20DET, FMIC, GTR pump, 3" exhaust, hiflow turbo. it made 212rwkw and was tuned last year on dyno has perfectly flat AFR. $50
  11. toyota surf? cool 4wd. prob too big...
  12. Ohhhh, someone has sand in their vagina. S14 is faster both stock for stock K Thnx.
  13. jeebus, how can a product be engineered to a level of 0.10 tolerance and cad designed and milled to such a high standard and have backwards bloody markings?! I am starting to wonder if the actual markers represent 2deg each..
  14. Hi I have just been looking at my new exhaust cam gear and want to confirm something. firstly i have searched and come up with nothing. Please correct me if i am wrong... 1. RB20det cam gears rotate clockwise... 2. The cam gears have markings saying RETARD is the the left 3. If you rotate the blue center piece to the left effectively you are actually moving the cam to the right or clockwise 4. Seeming as the motor rotates clockwise this would mean infact you are ADVANCING the cam 5. Therefore the markings on the cam gear are WRONG. can someone please confirm this. Picture below. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=71726 If this is correct why? and if not could someone please explain? Thanks all
  15. you will find the crown wheel has horn and teh play between the pinion and crown is to large. you can pull the centre out and add a different backlash washer to lower the play but it needs to be done by a doff guy. the diff will not last very long like that
  16. money still on BOV undo the ricirc pipe block it off and then cover the snout of the BOV with lots of duct tape so it will not leak. go for a drive and see if the car is still doing it
  17. looking good tom... Does the bronco have nitrous on the 351 yet? you need to take those wheels off it and put em on the R31 they have dish!!
  18. tom, don't even try lobster. just buy bends take your exhaust off and note what bends there are and buy the same in steel. liverpool exhaust are really cheap. also ins't your welder a arc welder?
