  6. Ok, I will give a more in depth analysis. The reason people replace coils is the factory coils are past their MBTF and are developing faults. If you were to get a brand new set of coils as spare parts from Nissan they would perform exactly the same as the splitfires. This is because they are from the same factory and made under the same manufacturing process. These coils are designed to charge and discharge in very short periods of time as required by a turbocharged RB at 7500rpm. Providing you have adiquite ground and no earthing issues you will not have any problems with them. Wasted spark ignition will use 3 coils that are designed to discharge a lower amperage spark and are not used on turbocharged cars for this reason. you will also have 2 other points of failure or possible failure. The leads... You also need to know the resistance of the new coils to set the ignition dwell. None of the wasted spark coils will have this data available thus possibly burning out the coil drivers or coils. You also do not want to see what happens to a turbocharged engine when it leans out with a wasted spark ignition system due to fuel cut. Also once you buy 3 coils, 6 good quality leads and hack up your engine bay you will be looking at atleast $400. for $200 more you can have the splitfires delivered to your little house I have splitfires in my car running 19psi on an rb 20 pushing 240rwkw. they took me 1/2 an hour t put in and I never have to worry about ignition again my 2c
  7. Gastune are really good. but their dyno is ghetto... it's an old analogue dyno and is does not record your power level. it all you want is tuned peoperly then they will do a really good job. if you want a printout and need to see how much power the car is making go to autotech in fyshwick.
  8. don't do it. 1. buy a computer with 6 coil drivers 2. buy splitfires 3. never have to worry about misses again
  9. Jeebus! it looks damn hot! they are going black 100% Thanks dudes
  10. I just bought these wheels and really want to see what the centres would look like black. bud leaving the dish chrome. could someone please chop it for me? Thanks!
  11. I have just bought some new wheels so the JWT's are for sale. 17x7.5 with 4 stud 114.3. Offset is +35. These are lightweight one peice wheels and are used on a lot of hillclimb events for their strength and weight. They currently have tyres on them 2 x firenza 215/45/17 with 85% tread and 2 rubbish drift tyres. I can also include a pair of Advan 235/45/17 with a bit ov camber wear but heaps of tread if needed. there is a bit of rash on 2 wheels just on the lip but they were balanced recently and came up trumps. $500 first to see em will snap them up. they are awsome plain rims They are located in canberra.
  12. I just bought a gearbox and clutch for my RB20det. and am having trouble tracking down info on the clutch. It is an exedy with the following markings: Clutch plate: NSD035U and the diameter is 225mm (from what i can see this is much smaller than an rb20 clutch should be. Pressure plate: U20200 3L12 exedy I was told they were fitted to an RB25 with the gearbox I also bought "RP71C#1" and from what I have read it is a RB20DET turbo box. Has any one got any info on this clutch? will it hold up to 230rwkw? Thanks
  13. I am after a set of 4x114.3 wheels that are atleast 7.5" wide. please pm me with whatever you have and a photo. Ideally something with a polished lip and 5 or 6 black spokes in a jap brand. will pay between $500 and $1200 depending on brand condition ect. Also after a mechanical LSD to suit an R32 gtst prefer 1.5 or 1 way.
  14. my standard rb25 BOV holds 19psi with no problems.
  15. Cool. I really want one of these. There is something about a 3 litre single cam turbo silvia that makes me laugh. big capacity turbo in a light chassis WooHooo!
  16. I will take one.
  17. OK I am in. deposit is done, sorry for the lateness I have been away for 2 weeks
  18. I have done this mod and my speedlimit is 243kmph. its not unlimited but i guess its good enoung. I was told if you cut all the wires with stripes on them it runz 44psi and makes your injectors 1000cc
  19. 1) GTR fuel pump 2) 236rwkw @ 19psi. Stock Fuel reg, Stock fuel lines 3) Stock pump will only flow so much. Have also used a bosch 040 and found it to be a pain in the ass to install intank. also had cutting out issues going round corners with tank nearly empty Ease - took me 25 min to swap it over and it operates like factory Noise - when there is not nuch fuel and it is hot it sounds like you have a boot full of bees from the outside of the car. I kinda like it. Starting issues - Just like factory 1/4 tank - none. perfect! NOTE: pump will not flow more than 250rwkw safely i have been told.
  20. Wooo Hooo sold 12 coilpacks
  21. If you haver a look on the tempe site they ARE the ones for 1400 even in the width advertised.
  22. Spence trackday!!! Whooo Hooo I don't have to renew my cams license this year!
  23. R33 standard hitachi. ceramic wheel ball bearing 45V1 or 2,3,4 on compressor housings. really you should do your research before going a na to turbo conversion. most cases it is cheaper to ditch the and go the turbo motor.
