I picked uo a fuel smell 2 days ago and on investigation saw a small pool of fuel in the valley of injector #1 just where the pintle cap goes into the manifold. So I thought an o ring was split so bought a new set. I took the injector out to discover the oring was intact. so I replaced it anyway and used a smear of oil to allow it to go back in without pinching. put the injector back in and bolted the fuel rail down. IT STILL LEAKS!!! none of the other 5 leak even after the remove refit. just injector #1 so I repeated the whole process twice over and to no avail the exact same annount of fuel is leaking out. the injectors were ultrasonically cleaned 3000k's ago and have not leaked untill now. the pintle caps are new and so are the orings but the top and bottom seals have not been replaced. they are still perfectly intact and in good contition. Is is it possible the body of the injector has cracked? the yellow plastic (444cc gtr injectors) I inspected it with a magnifying glass and could not find any cracks. If any one can shed some light on this that would be great!

There is a guy on these forums named toshi. he remaps R33 ecu's. I am sure he can remap it for you. or even provide the stock map with no speed limit and no tp limit

It's ok. I have just heard there is a new dragway opening in canberra it is located on Minister Barr's driveway.

Got An Update Tune At Unigroup Last Night
CEF11E replied to Abo Bob's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That is a really fat power curve. I would love to have power delivery like that. looks like it will be seriously fast. Good work abo bob. -
I have a few central 20 .roms Mainly for RB20det. YOu will be running richer past 4000rpm and TP limit is changed to 255 thus getting rid of what people call boost cut. Also quite often timing is also around 18 deg in most of the high load parts of the map. Get it checked on a dyno

my bad... ment 60.. was typing in the dark BTW. I am not having a go at you. I am just pointing out my observations I am sure you wanted comments otherwise you would not have posted results here

Ticking Noise Coming From Tyres?
CEF11E replied to tek_01's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
also could be a wearing wheel bearing. -
Let me guess? end of term party at the Harmone German Club? I was smacked in the back of the head by a group of them there and my best freind got kicked in the face and lost front teeth in 1995 there. Yep a bad group there.

I had a very nice Cefiro stolen by a group of 12 to 14 year olds. From my house in the middle of the night. they thrashed it, stripped it and dumped it. They were from an ethnic minority and the police knew who did it and could do nothing to make it stick. All the cars in our parking lot were targeted and stolen or broken into. I was told they do this all the time. They also used to attack older people and steal their bags. and nothing was done. Still... something stopped me from taking things into my own hands

Forget the figure, look at the power curve. something not right. 9 psi by 6h km/ph in 4th? looks like the operator held it on load untill he started the run. This is not really and indication on what the car will do on the street and will F96k up the peak torque figure. Then there is a taper off and then an full 10 rwkw more at redline. as long as the car holds boost correctly and the AFR's are safe the figure does not matter really. Still I have NEVER seen a car wth this level of mods produce more 190rwkw. Glad you are happy with the result Cheers!
-
That is a very high result for a fairly stock car. especially for only 10psi. I think the dyno is being a bit optamistic. Also your power curve is quite wonky in a couple of places. it might have been slipping on the dyno

Dude! you have been having some bad car luck. At least you and your sis are still alive and not wiped off the road by bogans.

The Solution To End All Problems
CEF11E replied to Angus Smart's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I thought the solution was a girl with a GTR badge fully blown @ 19psi that was into porn and beer.. I guess i was wrong -
the rim in the pic is 4 stud....

I have just ordered a set of spitfires and no longer need these. they are all in perfect working condition and both sets are capable of holding 13/14 psi without missfire. Have run 17psi but a miss is evident. $100 per set. or $30 each they are suited for RB20DET. and if you are quick they will also come in a spitfire box you will even feel cool buying them

Debating Wether Or Not To Go Spitfires
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
put the car back on the dyno today and had bad results due to the coilpacks. The car only made 204rwkw due to only being able to run 13psi. the car did manage to make 5200n tractive effort but was serverley hindered by missfire. the afr was perfect on 12:1 from 4000 to redline. so that and the 10 votes for spitfires and none for stockers I have ordered the spitfires. Really hoping for a solid gain and ability to run 18psi. The funny thing is I was able to run 18 for about 3 weeks and the coils have gradually gotten worse. the car made 230 before the coils fuc$%d out so thats all I am shooting for. -
Debating Wether Or Not To Go Spitfires
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The people have spoken... Spitfires for Christmas Wooo Hooo! -
if you are hitting "boost cut" your afm is makxing out and you have a stock ECU my advice would be get it tuned Cheers
-
I have a moderatly tuned RB20 with the following mods Sliding performance hiflow rb25 turbo GTR injectors GTR fuelpump 3" turboback, split dump, metal 3" cat remapped ecu, FMIC ect I am having a miss when running anything over 16psi with the stock coils (suprise suprise)... I have ngk copper v plugs gapped to 0.8 Currently with 16psi the car is making 215rwkw. If I wind up the boost to 19psi it will not miss the first 2 runs and it makes 230+rwkw. the car also feels quite a bit faster. after that it all goes to s*^t Should I stick with 215 and stop spending money or shell out another $600 for spitfires and be able to run the full potential of the turbo and make around 230rwkw Is 15 kw worth $600? or should I gap the plugs down further?

Is This "really" A Titanium Exhaust?
CEF11E replied to foznice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yep I got a full stainless system turboback. Nothing wrong with mild steel, just stainless was only around $100 extra. It still looks like a really nice system it's worth what you paid for it. -

CEF11E replied to foznice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No that was just the catback... batmbl dump cost me $400 cat cost me $300. + around 200 for fitting complete exhaust cost me $1700. -
Is This "really" A Titanium Exhaust?
CEF11E replied to foznice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
still, yiu wouldn't have got a better exhaust for the same price. I just paid $700 for a xforce stainless 3" system I would have piad that much for the one you bought looking back on it Still, complain to the seller as it was advertised as titanium and 4" make him refund you some dollars. -
replace the o2 sensor. cheers

CEF11E replied to foznice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
haha! you outbid me on that exhaust... I really wanted it but got to $400 and started looking closley and realised it wasn't titanium. bugger about it being 3.5 not 4. Still looks like an excellent exhaust. also comes with the nice noise control valve.
