  2. There is a guy in Sydney wh did my remap on my old car and got good results, His name is Toshi and you can find him on these forums. There is another place called yoshitokio i think in sydney. And of course dr drift in Melbourne. just do a search for "Toshi" "yoshitokio" and "drdrift" Hope that helps
  3. Oil line needs to be modded not water. if you take the turbo off it is a peice of piss compared to the rest of the task

  7. Great results sorry SECUR1TY, I thought you had the turbs already I was lucky and got in early. I only had to wait 2 weeks from order to delivery! Cheers

  9. jeebus that is a good deal.... have solanoid to go with it
  10. Yep, I have had good results with the slide turbo. The person you really need to talk to is simon ae86 as he has had both of these turbos. If you look for a thread in the forced induction section it will tell you all about his and my install and how it performs. I think simon said the slide turbo has a lot better top end with the same spool time. I was deciding between the 2 you are looking at and chose the slide for it's bolt on drive away with no new dump pipe or fabricating anything. It is putting out 230rwkw on my rb20 at 17psi and is rated at 19psi so possibly 245rwkw to be had on the o'l 20 and has serious kick in the pants power. on a RB25 it is rated at 250rwkw but may even put out a bit more. Is is going on a RB20 or 25? Looking at it you will be paying $829 + $150 for a dump pipe and then you will need an elbow fabricated that will cost $50 to $100 so you are looking at $1029 and that is a fair bit more than the slide.
  11. I don't think they are overpriced. I look at it this way. Let's say you are paying $12,000. What else can you buy that has the same power, handling, modification potential and appeal. An S13, An rx7 series 4, liberty/legacy, GT4... and a few others. The skyline has a nice set of features and arguably has the best interior and sleek lines. All these cars are getting old. It's just the way it is in the 90's the japanese made a great number of performance cars for us to pick and choose. Really 12 grand is not a lot to spend on something that's going to give you so much pleasure I still think you get a lot of car for 12 grand with a skyline. it's my pick of the bunch.
  12. Bass, It looks thee best colour now, don't respray it. that jade colour will look horrid in 5 years
  13. Hurry up and get that turbo on!!! we want results!!! cheers
  14. Really keen to hear your results, Not keen to throw an RB25 turbo on it?
  15. Just for some more feedback, I have scince bought a new car and ordered another one of these, the new one does not have a hole. In the process of tuning the car I was monitoring the boost. I am running a sliding performance RB25 hiflow turbo on an RB20 pushing 230rwkw. The boost controller was set to 17psi. The controller held boost so well it looked like a flat line. it was as good as the EBC that came on the car when I bought it. Infact I took off the EBC and sold it for $350 as the turbotech did the same job for $30 and could be hidden in the enginge bay and there is no solanoid or electronics to fail. Gotta love it.
  16. Yes, R32 The A31 has gone and I have missed it ever scince... best sliding car ever. Thanks Jeff. I was using 1484 and it was tracing something but god knows what. Will give it another try tonight. Do you use consult cable + software to trace or do you have an emulator that is able to report wich address is being accessed?. I am in need of about 3 serial ports on my laptop. 1 for temp logging, 2 for consult and 3 for wideband. I will be trying a PCMCIA to serial converter to see how reliable it is. Also damn laptop can not power my eprom burner via USB so I need an external plug pack. It's really great having all this info in one place. Like you mentioned before it would be good to have some webspace to host software and .bin files Anyone feel like donating some space?
  17. I am using a consult cable and datascan at the moment but am not 100% if the addres I am using for map trace is correct. I am using 0x1484 Can anyone confirm this is correct? and if not list all the relevant addresses.
  18. I have just bought a new catback so mine is up for sale It's a Kakimoto with oval stainless rear muffler and an oval resenator. It is straight through design and flows really well. Infact it made 212rwkw on my RB20. (actually more like 230rwkw but i only have a sheet to proove it that says 212rwkw. It is very quiet with a nice deep note and has jap writing on the stainless site bit. it is 2.75" diameter but as stated it wil flow easily enough for 200rwkw. there is a dent in the mid resinator but it does not affect performance at all and you cant see it unless you are under the car these cost $790 new so $250 is a bargin. I even have dump and front pipe if needed... I will add photos and dyno printout if needed tomorrow night. It is located in canberra but I can ship it anywhere at buyers cost.
  19. Mine is the RB25 hiflow for RB20. or straight rb25 hiflow.
  20. look at the date of this thread.... jeebus
  21. the car will stall as the stocker is designed to leak at idle
  22. The T88 is a direct bolt on... really...
  23. Where are you located? I may take the lot depending on where you are I will definatly take the gearbox
  24. I think sikaflex would work well. they use it to seal everything in marine applications.
  25. Is the diff 3x2 bolt half shafts? what ratio is it? It is definatly LSD and it was not open wheeling? Cheers
